TV show description:
From creator Chris Fedak, the Deception TV show centers on illusionist Cameron Black (Cutmore-Scott). With big shows in Vegas and New York, this magician is rocketing to the top, when scandal derails his show and his drive.
Unbeknownst to the world, Cameron has a twin brother, Jonathan (Cutmore-Scott), who is integral to both his magic and his life. Then one night, Jonathan is framed for murder. Soon, their secret is revealed, and Jonathan is convicted. Cameron is certain another illusionist is behind the crime.
With his career on hold and his mind overwhelmed by guilt and the desire to exonerate his brother, Cameron won’t even work with his team to develop a new act. One day though, while watching the news, he realizes that the FBI has been deceived by an illusionist, and whoever it was stole one of his signature moves. Now, Cameron is using his tradecraft to help the Feds apprehend some of the most elusive criminals in the world and hopes to prove his brother is an innocent man.

Very disappointed to find out it has been cancelled. This was a very clever, entertaining, well thought out show with exceptional acting.
It’s remarkable some of the garbage that the networks decide is worth renewing and how badly they miss on the shows that are actually worth watching.
I loved the show, it was creative and funny. It was a staple for our family. The show should be renewed. ABC is missing an opportunity to make quality shows that doesn’t push the envelope to what is acceptable for families to watch.
Once again networks have missed the boat. Why cant they have good entertainment show where you don’t have to worry about sex, nudity and violence. Just good clean entertainment. No keep shows where men and women have to go on tv to find LOVE. Really!!! Sad!!!
Shame on you for cancelling this show. The title may have turned people off. The main star is one of the best actor I have seen in years. You could tell witch brother he was being, just by looking at his face and the way he walked.
Would love to see the show renewed. Why did it get cancelled so soon!!! My children and I really love this show. We can’t miss an episode. If we are not home in time, our DVR automatically records it so we can watch it in it’s entirety at our leisure. We were waiting for a new storyline and something even more amazing to come forth and put us on the edge of our seats like the last few episodes did. Especially when he gets “locked” in the vault. Just watched the two-hour finale with my wife. We love this show!! Two hours of scintillating television! We can never understand why interesting, intelligent shows like this get cancelled.
So sad that deception has been canceled. It had everything going for it- excellent cast, writing, humor. I really don’t understand why great shows are canceled so quickly.
