What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, Evil stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Michael Emerson, Christine Lahti, Kurt Fuller, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco, and Dalya Knapp. A forensic psychologist, Kristen Bouchard accepts a job offer from David Acosta (Colter), a former adventure-seeking journalist. He’s now studying to be a Catholic priest and has been tasked by the Church to assess unexplained phenomena. Acosta also recruits Ben Shakir (Mandvi), an even-tempered realist with carpentry skills. He uses those abilities to uncover practical rationales behind “hauntings.” Kristen is certain that science can provide answers to every incident that the trio encounters — until she meets Leland Townsend (Emerson). He’s a sinister man who oozes menace and threatens Kristen and her four young daughters (Shuck, Gray, Crocco, and Knapp). Undeterred, Kristen, David, and Ben set out to assess inexplicable events to see if there’s a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.

What do you think? Are you glad that the Evil TV show has been renewed for a second season? How would you feel if CBS had cancelled this TV series, instead?
The first episode of Evil captured my attention right away! I don’t watch shows with horror, but the writers fusion of horror/religion kept me watching. All the actors are fantastic and the storylines are incredible. I’ve solicited all of my family members from East to West coast to watch Evil and now they are hocked. So glad to hear program has been renewed!
Loyal CBS viewer on Monday and Thursday!
This series has it all. Suspense drama intensity and even comdey. So happy it was renewed.
So happy for renewal. Has everthing drama suspense and twisted black humour.
I like this show alot. Good characters, good plot, don’t know where it’s going with the mountain climbing, but that’s not a big part of the show anyway. The surprize element is good, but nit so sure about how the dingy mother is attracted to the devil character and can’t make connections to his outlandish agenda when he is reeking of lowlife agendas especially around the children. I like the dad of David element, where all these artist types aren’t even aware they are vessels for using in schemes and rituals. Like a hammer needs to clobber all these airheads… Read more »
I love the show. So glad to have something different to watch. Get tired of the CSI’s and reality shows. I don’t watch any sitcoms either. Hope Evil doesn’t get cancelled because I sure enjoy watching it.
I really like EVIL, great show!
This show, Evil, keeps me coming back each week. Great storyline, incredible acting, believable , emotional and intense! It is dark but so is the world we live in and honestly this show isn’t far off from the mark of the true evil that we see in our daily newspapers and news headlines.
We are going to stop watching ,its to dark. It seems like it wants to make a mockery of marriage ,peoples beliefs ,and our regard for children . It just getting darker each week .
Love this show. Not just a “veg-out” show, makes you think. Please give it a chance.
Agreed, you need a few days to let this sink in…not far off the mark of the evil that is reported on the daily news
Finally something original! So tired of cop and lawyer shows. The Kings know how to write a good story!
Love Evil! Best horror show since Friday the 13th: The series. Lots of scares, drama, and humor. Long live Evil!
I thought The Exorcist was a better show than Friday the 13th.
I enjoyed this show. Hope they bring it back.
