God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

I cam very sad to see the series end. I looked forward to it every Sunday night. Thanks to all of you for two great years.
They say the only things you can count on are death & taxes . . . well, there’s a third: anytime there’s a show worth watching on, it gets cancelled. The last CBS was Scorpion. Is there ever a way to convince a network to revert & keep a show on? Ofc not. It’s all ratings & $$. Plus, if you’d expand demos to older ages you’d find a lot more watchers. 18 to 49 is when everyone are living life. Older citizens have more time to watch. I will really miss “God Friended Me.”!! It was one of the best shows on television and I have been watching TV shows since 1957 when my parents first bought a TV set. The plots were fresh and the actors were fabulous. I hope CBS will change their mind on cancelling this wonderful show!!
God Friended Me was a heartfelt show with lots of positive vibes. Very sad. Our society seems to embrace violence.
God Friended Me was one of the best shows on TV. I think cancelling it is one of the biggest mistakes you can make. It showed how a few can help to change the life of a person who was in need of help. I am very disappointed!!! As a Christian it was nice to be able to watch such an inspiring show.
I can’t even express the shock I was in after the show, when the previews were shown for the “series”, not the season, finale! Really? LOVE EVERYTHING about God Friended Me, my favorite show of the week!!! I am so disappointed in everyone who has a role in this decision, PLEASE reconsider! Our world needs this show!!!!!!

Oh no, I LOVE this show so much! It brings a very needed positive message to the world each week, one that is filled with faith as well as doubt. I will miss it so much!!
This is extremely upsetting!! Now when we really need positive shows, this wonderful, uplifting series is cancelled??? “God Friended Me” was my favorite series to watch on Sunday evenings to start off a new week. CBS I am really disappointed in you!! I thought you were better than that!!
I am SO sad to hear that this show has been cancelled!!! It is BY FAR my favorite show of the week!! I record each episode and sometimes watch it a second time! There is no violence; there is always a happy ending even though the center of the show is often stressful and makes you wonder if a good outcome could possibly be. There is nothing not to like about it!!! I cannot imagine why the decision would be made to end such a wonderful show!
Why do they always cancel the good programs I loved that show and my grandson did to and he will be 13
Can’t believe such a great show was cancelled while leaving lots of garbage on the air. CBS showed itself to be network run by stupid people.
Please reconsider your decision to cancel this show. My wife and I and our family and friends really are heartbroken as we just loved this show and always looked forward to the next episode.
