God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

Why is it that every show that is worth watching gets cancelled? I look forward to Sunday when I get to see what special things are happening on this show. I will miss it!
I can’t believe this. Every decent show gets cancelled. Ready to drop my cable , there’s almost nothing worth watching any more.

Sorry the show was cancelled. We have watched since it began. It is a good family show one you can watch with grandkids. The actors were good and was a good story each week. Why was it cancelled. Did you run out of ideas.

This is one of the best shows on television!! What is wrong with this network and who is making these terrible decisions?? I have no reason to even watch CBS anymore. Way to take something wholesome and much needed in the world and probably fill it with garbage.
I am very disappointed to see this series come to an end. There was so much left of the story to tell. The possibilities were endless. And just how God works in mysterious ways, I pray that somehow a way will be found to continue this story that tickles everyone’s fancy about how God is truly at work all the time and there is no such thing as a coincidence. I hate that show was cancelled. It was a very uplifting show and family oriented. Hope cancellation is RECONSIDERED!

I am am just sick that you are taking this show off the air. It had so uplifting moments every week. No gun violence, sex, bad language, etc. We need more shows like this Not less. There was always a positive message each week that always gave me hope. Please bring it back. Move it to another night if need be. Most of the shows on any more are not worth turning the TV on.
I am so disappointed to hear that this show is being cancelled. Especially at this time during the pandemic, God Friended Me offers some bit of comfort and solace. Please reconsider your decision to drop it.
Terrible decision. GFM is a family-friendly show that is positive and heart-warming (and a great cast). Really look forward to it every week. Bad decision!
Sorry to see it end. It was a feel good show. Wish another network would pick it up.
I have watched God Friended Me from the beginning. A high quality show that you can watch with your family. Did not like the priest living with his girlfriend but they got married. Tonight I turned if off when the two girls kissed. I will not watch it any more. There are still a lot of people in this USA that do not like homosexuality pushed on them.
