God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

WHY?!!? It is such a refreshing concept, unlike so many shows that seem to have a dozen spin-offs and all the copycats that show no real imagination.
God Friended Me ended the week with a heart warming, feel good story ! Brilliant Actors, Writers And Stories!

I am really upset over this cancellation!! It has been so nice to have something refreshing to look forward to watching each week. There aren’t that many such shows left for which I would turn on the TV. Please reconsider your decision.

We love this show so much! My husband and our 3 kids ages 7-13 watched it every Sunday. Several times a week they ask me is “God friended me on tonight”? I’m heart broken. I’m not sure how I’m going to break this to my kids – as this was our family show and we all looked forward to it! Please, please change your mind! We need this show in our lives. This is the worst news.
I’m very disappointed to learn of the cancellation of this very well-written show with great actors. It is one of the few family-friendly shows, with no violence, that always left you with a cliff-hanger ending. What will we do after next week? Please change your mind and let it continue!
So sad to hear God Friended Me cancelled. My son and I sat together every Sunday night to watch it. I’m a believer and he’s not; was thinking watching this show together might make him think deeper about the presence of God…..
It was so nice to watch a show that was just a little bit different. Not religious, not preaching, just great stories and good acting. Something to look forward to each week. I don’t know why we can only watch stuff that has people dying or reality TV. Reconsider!
I usually like shoot I’m up bang bang however I have watched every episode of this show. Great cast and stories. With all the stupid game show and bachelor and survivor shows this one has been a gem. Networks often do not make good sense in letting a programs get its audience and run with it. I certainly wish exec’s would re consider. This show deserves it

What’s amazing is a show with all around appeal to both the believers and nonbelievers, with great writing and acting, would be cancelled after only 2 seasons. I’m sorry that the ratings weren’t good enough for theis amazing show. This nonbeliever was starting to believe in more quality programming. 3 of my favorite shows cancelled, 2 more ending. And it so happens that 2 of them deal with religious concepts.
It is so sad that God Friended Me is cancelled. There are way too many police, fire, game shows and reality shows on TV. This quality show is a shining light. I look forward to it every Sunday. I have watched every episode. This decision is disgusting!!!!
I LOVE this show! If is such a refreshing change from most of what is on network TV. I am broken-hearted to see it end. My Sunday nights just tanked; this was the only show I watched!
I have watched this show since the very beginning. Why in the world would you ever cancel it. It is such a great show. I truly hope that none of the other shows I like are not on CBS because I will have to find other shows to watch.
Deeply Hurt Sadden Mad every weekend this show gives me a dense of Hope for Humanity. Its my fresh start to the week and the feel good end of the week. Very upset that God Friended Me has been cancelled. We faithfully watch it every Sunday, and have enjoyed the uplifting feel good message. Something the country desperately needs. Please keep it going.
