God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

I am very very disappointed that God Friended Me has been cancelled. This is a great tv show that brings positive and inspiration to people of all ages and cultures. This tv show is what our country needs right now. CBS Please reconsider and don’t cancel this show. I look forward every Sunday to watching God Friended Me. Please have a change of heart and listen to your viewers.
I am truly disappointed in CBS and the decision they are making in cancelling “God Friended Me”. This was an excellent show. It was a uplifting show an an excellent way to start my week. I never missed a show. CBS what are you thinking? Not everyone wants to watch people being shot at, killed, robbed, etc.
CBS please reconsider and keep this family show!
Please reconsider and bring back this warm, interesting, original show. I looked forward to it every week.
I m very upset and disappointed
One of the best shows on TV. I never miss it. It’s a show with lessons, love, and friendship mixed with faith, hope, and determination. I can think if other shows that should be canceled. THIS is NOT one of them.
TO CBS NETWORK: Please do not cancel “God Friended Me.” This show brings an understanding to the public that we, as human beings, have little understanding of the omnipotence of God. The show offers easy acceptance of a Higher Power (God) to non believers. This show IS NEEDED in our world today AND tomorrow! Especially with Covid; yet even without Covid. Please let this show remain on the air so that it may continue to teach the values and principles of GOD. Togetherness, one another, kindness, tolerance, LOVE.

I am extremely upset to learn that the series “GOD Friended Me” is being canceled. This show is about so many aspects that one cannot ignore. It is a wholesome show that anybody can enjoy. CBS, I believe you are making a huge mistake canceling this show. You presented a show that people can watch and feel good about people and the world. 9n2 can sit with the family and watch a 2holesome show. Super big mistake to cancel this thoughtful and uplifting show, especially while we are experiencing one of the biggest human crises of our time. We needed the hope this program offered and represented. Talk about bad decisions….CBS took something important away from us at the time we most needed it.
I am very sad and disappointed about “God Friended Me” being canceled. I thoroughly enjoy this show. Why do all of the wholesome shows get canceled? Some American TV viewers actually look forward to a show that isn’t about six, violence, deception, etc. PLEASE RECONSIDER AND KEEP THIS SHOW GOING!!!
What are they thinking by canceling this great show. I always look forward to watch God Friended Me. This is the kind of show we need now not those new crappy shows that don’t teach us anything but hatred and anger. Hopefully, they reconsider. There a lot of TV shows that should have been canceled a long time ago not this one.
What on earth??!! One of the few non-violent shows on TV. What we need is more “warm and fuzzy” shows like this one! CBS—you are dumping one of your best shows for mote violence or “reality shows”. Really?? Isolated on an island with no one but videographers, makeup, costume… CBS has been our go to network for years, but this is a true disappointment. Quality has been dropping for several years. How many NCIS knock offs do we need?? Please reconsider “God Friended Me” next season and for many more. Give us our Sunday bright spot again.
God Friended Me is one of the few shows I looked forward to watching each week and it was ideal for a Sunday. This is one of the few shows on TV that the cast looks like America. It also was one of the few shows that was uplifting and nurtured the spirit. This is a sad day indeed! Who did they consult on this? This is a complete disgrace for CBS to pull the plug on this show! A good show that people and their families can learn from and about how God works in mysterious ways. Unfathomable and a shock. Please bring it back CBS! Think about what you’re doing is wrong and no need to do so. Please reconsider!! God wouldn’t want you to cancel it…..
Sad a well-written show was canceled. Too many narrow-minded opinions and decisions. Not watching what will be replaced.
