TV show description:
A drama series set in New York City, God Friended Me revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles Finer (Hall). Miles is an atheist and that puts him at odds with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer (Morton), a beloved and longtime preacher at Harlem’s Trinity Church.
Miles’ life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God”. He ignores and declines the request but it keeps coming back so, out of curiosity, he accepts and the mystery deepens as he digs deeper into his new friend’s account.
He’s led to Cara Bloom (Beane), an online journalist who’s been struggling with writer’s block. Intrigued by Miles’ story, Cara joins him in investigating friend suggestions from “God” and they end up helping others in need — while learning things about themselves.
Miles and Cara are aided by Ali Finer (Leslie), Miles’ supportive sister. She’s a doctoral psych student by day and a bartender by night. Also lending a hand is Rakesh Singh (Sharma), Miles’ best friend and a sometimes hacker who needs some help on the social side of his life.
Miles is convinced that the “God” account is an elaborate hoax and is devoted to uncovering the truth. In the meantime, he’s playing along and, in the process, seeing his life changed forever.

Miles is forced to examine his lack of faith more than ever before when the God Account sends him his sister, Ali, as a friend suggestion on the eve of her cancer surgery.

Of course! Another good show bites the dust. Good characters, unique concept, and uplifting which we all could use. So disappointed.
I think we need more shows like God befriended me. The world is so full of violence and hate. It is so refreshing to think maybe there is still some good people left.

I don’t think it should have been cancelled. Loved the stories it told, it was enjoyable, a refreshing change from all the violence being shown today. Loved the cast and characters they portrayed. Very uplifting. Big mistake cancelling it.

I am so sad to hear God Friended Me was cancelled. My husband and always looked so forward to seeing it every week. It’s our favorite show. It was the highlight of our week. In fact, we called it the modern day Andy Griffith Show. It had so much heart that lacks in most other shows. The world needs that especially now. Please bring it back!
It seems like about the time you find a program you like that has some value and is worth watching it gets cancelled. Looking at the ratings for God Friended Me it was probably right on the border about renewing it or cancelling it. The way it ended it good be brought back. Please, check out how many people liked this show and reconsider rejuvenating the show. God bless!

I am saddened God Friended Me was cancelled. Why a wholesome family show can’t go on when horrible shows with violence and sexual content and foul language goes on and on is beyond me.
Please don’t cancel the show. It’s the show I look forward to watching every Sunday night that makes me happy.
I love the upbeat, positive, thoughtful script. Additionally the actors were wonderful. All episodes had positive messages, which could/should be applied to everyone’s lives! DO NOT CANCEL THIS GREAT SHOW!
I loved this show and am NOT HAPPY THAT IT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. INSTEAD OF KEEPING HOMESOME SHOWS THAT DONT HAVE SWEARING ETC. AND ACTUALLY HAVE REAL STORYLINES THAT CAN GRIP AT YOUR HEART THEY KEEP STUPID SHOWS ON TV OR REALITY SHOWS. I WONT BE WATCHING CBS ANYMORE UNLESS THEY BRING IT BACK…..

I can’t believe they are cancelling this show. Such a great message, great friendships, great family, & love & compassion for helping others by a non believer. I love this show!! How can you leave it like this? Seriously!!
Please bring back God friended me. We need more uplifting shows like this one not more violence and game shows. It’s a great family show and a wonderful show to watch on Sundays. Please bring it back!
