TV show description:
A drama series set in New York City, God Friended Me revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles Finer (Hall). Miles is an atheist and that puts him at odds with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer (Morton), a beloved and longtime preacher at Harlem’s Trinity Church.
Miles’ life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God”. He ignores and declines the request but it keeps coming back so, out of curiosity, he accepts and the mystery deepens as he digs deeper into his new friend’s account.
He’s led to Cara Bloom (Beane), an online journalist who’s been struggling with writer’s block. Intrigued by Miles’ story, Cara joins him in investigating friend suggestions from “God” and they end up helping others in need — while learning things about themselves.
Miles and Cara are aided by Ali Finer (Leslie), Miles’ supportive sister. She’s a doctoral psych student by day and a bartender by night. Also lending a hand is Rakesh Singh (Sharma), Miles’ best friend and a sometimes hacker who needs some help on the social side of his life.
Miles is convinced that the “God” account is an elaborate hoax and is devoted to uncovering the truth. In the meantime, he’s playing along and, in the process, seeing his life changed forever.

Miles is forced to examine his lack of faith more than ever before when the God Account sends him his sister, Ali, as a friend suggestion on the eve of her cancer surgery.

THE SHOW WAS CLEAN AND GREAT WE WATCHED EVERY SUNDAY AND LOOKED FORWARD TO IT BUT LIKE MOST CLEAN SHOWS THEY GET CANCELLED. WAS IT THE NAME OF GOD THAT OFFENDED THE STATION. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED,
I THINK CANCELLING GOD FRIENDED ME WAS A BIG MISTAKE IS IT THE WORD GOD
THAT OFFENDS EVERYONE. IT WAS A GOOD CLEAN SHOW AND CBS MADE A MISTAKE BY CANCELLING THE SHOW.
I enjoyed watching this show. No violence. No naughty words. They were always helpful to people in need. A show that I wish you would bring back.
God friended me should not have left us on cliffhanger with the season 2 finale
Sure,CBS isn’t the place for a great thought provoking,family show-had me fooled for a few seasons-thanks for clearing that up,whew!!
I have enjoyed and loved God befriended me.

I love God Friended Me, it was a show that I could watch with my children and grandchildren. I will miss our discussions. It was a great to delve into their young mind and explore their value system. It was an opportunity for me to discus. “what would you have done. I will miss this show
This show is my favorite.
Don’t cancel God Friended Me!!! You left us with the impression it would be back again for Season 3. Bring it back! Listen to the people! We are expecting Season 3. Corporate analysts “running numbers” from a broken system are not letting the people have a choice or a voice. Taking away God Friended Me pushes my family and me even farther away from watching TV altogether! I guess you want NO viewership. This was a show that should have been renewed. At a time where people need hope, this show made us feel good. I agree that all of the characters were special (and played by gifted actors). There is so much that this show could do. I am sad it will not be on.

I certainly hope at some point this show will be brought back …It just made me feel good. I could care less if they find out who was behind the “God” account. It was the interaction between the characters and their desire to help people that made the show so good.
Definitely should be renewed for a third season! These characters are too lovable to lose, so much remains unanswered, and potential is there for lots more heartwarming stories.
Why would you cancel a show that was well liked and one of the only shows without valiance or bad language . A family show. is threr a chance it will return.
