What’s This TV Show About?
An ABC medical drama, The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore, Antonia Thomas, Nicholas Gonzalez, Chuku Modu, Beau Garrett, Hill Harper, Tamlyn Tomita, Christina Chang, Fiona Gubelmann, Will Yun Lee, Paige Spara, and Richard Schiff. The series centers on Dr. Shaun Murphy (Highmore), a gifted young surgeon and savant on the autism spectrum. While his autism can hinder his ability to connect with others, working at the hospital with the guidance of his advocate, Dr. Aaron Glassman (Schiff), has helped Shaun expand his world and the mindsets of others.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Good Doctor averaged a 1.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.73 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 37% and 31%, respectively. Find out how The Good Doctor stacks up against other ABC TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will ABC cancel or renew The Good Doctor for season three? I am concerned about the ratings but, unless they totally tank, I think The Good Doctor will be renewed. ABC needs new drama series and this one seems ripe to replace How to Get Away with Murder as their low-rated, quality program. For now, I believe it will be renewed. Please renew this excellent show (The Good Doctor). My husband and I both enjoy this show very much. Goes to show you that both sexes like the story/show. So that is really two requests from us for renewal. Sometimes we feel as though there are very few good shows on. This counts up there on top. Keep up the good work! Please.
they better not cancel The Good Doctor. I have a autistic brother who is SO inspired by the show and he would literally cry if it would be canceled.

Absolutely love The Good Doctor, Superb acting and story lines
I just watched the Good Doctor on HULU. I absolutely loved the show. I binge watched it after Christmas and again after New Years. You have to keep it on now that I found it. I love the characters, the story line and I’m a nurse so they do a good job of keeping the stories realistic enough better than a lot of medical shows. I vote yes, yes, YES!!! PLEASE.

Please please keep The Good Doctor!! Not only is the storyline fantastic but and and every one of the actors our fabulous as well. More advertisement may be in order to boost ratings, have actors/actresses appear on morning news/talk programming. I feel it would be a huge mistake to not renew such a show as this.

I love The Good Doctor. I bought the first season DVD set. The second season has been just as good, if not better. I love the development of the characters, especially Shaun. I hope ABC renews the show for many more seasons.
