Earlier today, we reported that The Good Wife has been cancelled. However, the end of the CBS series may not be the end for some of its characters. In a press interview, series creators Michelle and Robert King said they are considering a spin-off for the legal drama.
The Good Wife is currently in midst of season six, with only nine episodes left.
Discussing the end and the future of The Good Wife, the Kings said they haven’t ruled out a spin-off for some or one of the show’s supporting characters:
What would be fun is to find a way to spin off a [cast member] that wasn’t at the center, who we wish we had more time with. The show always centered around the Alicia character. What’s appealing would be pursuing a different ensemble.”
Michelle added that “nothing’s off the table” at the moment, and the two are “not saying no to anything.”
The Kings are currently working on a new political series for CBS titled BrainDead.
What do you think? Are you a fan of The Good Wife? Which supporting characters would you like to see a spin-off series for?
The character I would miss the most would be Eli! Also Cary and Diane would be nice to follow again, those 3 actors are brilliant. I personally dont care much about Alicia, shes boring and not very convincing.
A spin-off is great if it includes Julianne and Alan, at the least, in the new series.
I’d watch a spin-off about Eli, for sure!
I’d love to see a spin-off with Lucca – she is magnificent!!
