All good things must come to an end. Nickelodeon has announced that iCarly is ending after five seasons but there’s a big finish in the works.
Starring Drake & Josh’s Miranda Cosgrove, iCarly follows teenager Carly Shay as she creates a successful web series with the help of her best friends, Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie (Nathan Kress). Noah Munck is another good friend, Gibby, and Jerry Trainor plays Spencer, Carly’s older brother and legal guardian.
We suspected that the show might be getting ready to end when iCarly was renewed for a fifth season in April 2011. Though iCarly is one of the most popular shows on cable, the series was renewed for just 13 episodes. Like all shows about teens growing up, the actors eventually start to outgrow their roles and it’s time to move on.

Cosgrove plans to attend USC in the fall. McCurdy will star in another Dan Schneider series and Munck has a new pilot, both with Nickelodeon. The cable channel has also ordered a new series called Wendell & Vinnie in which Trainor will play a goofball uncle to a conservative 12-year-old.
To end the iCarly series, the cast and crew will film a special sometime next month and Nickelodeon plans to will air in November.
Of the show ending, Schneider told TV Guide, “Everyone at iCarly has been like family to me for five years… When we film our very last scene, there will be a lot of crying, I know. But I also know that in television, you don’t want to over-stay your welcome. I want to go out the way we are — on a creative high-note.”
Though there won’t be any new episodes after November’s finale, iCarly will continue to air on Nickelodeon in reruns.

i really miss i carly and i don’t think Nick will ever be the same again without this show because this to me was the best show on Nick and now its over? so not fair. i’lll miss u i carly and so will all ur other fans we love u i carly! btw Nathan Kress is so cute! love him!

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!! Please bring icarly back!!! Or at least make a very long episode where they come back and talk to each other about what’s happened in each other’s lives. PLEASE JUST DO SOMETHING I MISS IT SO MUCH I STILL WATCH IT IT IS MY FAVORITE SHOW!!!!!!!
Please please make another icarly episode. I there for me ever sence 3rd grade and I hate to see it go. The last episode.said that this isnt goodbye this is just a.break. So mKe an epiaode where carly comes.home or hav her make an apperence in sam puxkets new show thats comi.g uo it would be perdexr I think secen there still using sam pucket and not another charter. Right they should and they should make it without reminders so it could be a big surprise for fans that would beg and pleed for the series to continue
It’s truly the end, it’s very sad for ICarly fans. May ICarly always be with us in our hearts. Ill never forget the “ICarly” t.v series or any of the cast members. I hope they think of another t.v series where all the cast members can meet up again and make a new t.v series that won’t get cancled. I hope to see all of them together acting or not. Ill always miss ICarly and so will a lot of people/fans. <\3

I think it’s an appropriate time to end things. No too early but not ‘spongebob’ length. I think the “outgrow” is not from age but from maturity. It’s not the first time 20 year olds play teenagers, so that’s not the issue. They are just ready to move on. They were graet actors that suited their roles perfectly, and the show was one of the most funniest shows on nick. I’m looking forward to what other funny show the writers will come up with.
Why does it have to end just ecause they’er getting older idoes not matter I go an idea make a new hw called INew with things from ICarly so theycan go on forever and so we dont get sad becase ICary made me cheer up hen im in a bad mood.Iwill miss it forever andever no matter what I just beg to kep ICarly please. :'(

I started watching this show when I first arrived to the U.S. At first I just looked at the pictures, and I get its funny, I watch it eveyday when I come home from schooll, it is awesome… Now that it is ending I cried after watching the Icarly theme song featuring the fans, I really like them…. Hope they come back…

I really think that the iCarly gang should return later on. I think Dan Schneider should do a show about the iCarly gang going their separate ways in college. I seen them all cry, which makes me cry. Anything that involves leaving makes me cry. Im sad to see iCarly leave, with no return. : ( Goodbye iCarly, I have been watching since the first episode! I love you guys! : (
