Sunday night’s two-hour Knight Rider movie on NBC attracted 12.7 million viewers and a healthy 5.0 rating/12 share of viewers age 18-49. As the peacock network is happy to tell you, those are the best ratings for any TV movie in almost three years — ABC’s Their Eyes Were Watching God from March 2005.
Though NBC’s recent revival of Bionic Woman has tanked, it looks very likely that sexy driver Mike Tracer (Justin Bruening) and the new KITT (voiced by Val Kilmer) will be back soon for weekly adventures. David Hasselhoff, the star of the original Knight Rider, appeared in the recent movie and is likely to make at least a cameo or two in a new series. Hasselhoff is quite proud of his association with his heroic character and Knight Rider in general, as he mentions in the video above.
The moment most people were waiting for came at the end of the movie. On the way to his mother’s funeral, Mike’s asked to become KITT’s permanent driver but refuses. Someone soon changes his mind…
If you’re interested in watching the complete movie — before a new series hits the small screen — you can check it out below. (Though the video’s preview image may appear to be the same as that of the clip above, it’s actually the complete TV movie.)Stay tuned!
Las Vegas should at least show the first show of the sixth season and let the viewers know what the hell happened. That is so unfair to have the cliffhanger be the end. Not right.
hi my name is Colin maguire is this new knight rider will be kitt again and when is its coming

I think that the network needed a tax write-off because this show represented good moral issues w/o naked girls. Sometimes, I believe that all the network is wanted is “pointless” shows that does nothing for a young person’s heart but distorts their minds with promiscuest sex. (if I spelled that right)
We parents, for once, would love to view a show that means something of character like: love, morally and a good plot.
NBC did a very poor job promoting the new Night Rider show. The season was almost over before I knew it was on TV. Once it was on the air it kept getting all types of interuptions from the national news media, like presidential speeches and crap. This was about the only good action show to watch. Even kids could wacth the content with their parents; like a family adventure. BRING IT BACK, THIS TIME MAKE SURE PEOPLE ACTULLY KNOW ITS ON TV!!!!!!!!!
