TV show description:
This TV series revolves around a guy who’s surrounded by women. Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is a man’s man who doesn’t understand what’s happened to the world. These days, women run for president, serve in our military, and provide for their family while men sit in tanning beds and get their cuticles shaped. As the marketing director of a sporting goods store called Outdoor Man, Mike dedicates his life to reminding the world what makes men men. With the help of his co-workers Ed and Kyle, Mike uses his Outdoor Man video log to vent his aggression.
Mike’s dedicated wife is Vanessa (Nancy Travis). She’s a caring mother, grandmother, and geologist who doesn’t let her husband get away with much. After taking a career break to raise her three daughters, Vanessa returned to work and quickly received a promotion. That leaves less time for her family and for taking care of Mike, much to his chagrin.
Kristin Baxter (Alexandra Krosney, then Amanda Fuller) is an independent 20-year-old single mother who’s constantly fighting the urge to take a nap. Between chasing around her baby son, Boyd, and working at a diner, she rarely has a moment to herself. Kristin recently moved back in with her family, which has allowed her the luxury of free child care and a few moments of much-needed rest.
Mandy Baxter (Molly Ephraim then Molly McCook) is Mike and Vanessa’s self-centered 17-year-old daughter. She loves spending her father’s income and also uses her free time to updating her website, Mandyland, and going out for mani-pedis with her boyfriend. She can’t tell you who won the civil war, but she already knows who will win on The Bachelorette this season. Constantly connected, Mandy is always texting, blogging, and vlogging.
Eve Baxter (Kaitlyn Dever) is the youngest, toughest, and most athletic Baxter daughter. She isn’t interested in clothes, make-up, or what her hair looks like and would rather play full-contact football with the Broncos. Not surprisingly, she’s Mike’s little buddy.
Mike is employed by Ed Alzate (Hector Elizondo), the thick-skinned and opinionated owner of Outdoor Man. An old-school guy, he essentially wrote the book on how to live a man’s life. With his years of experience, Ed coaches Mike on how to handle his problems both at work and at home.
Working under Mike is Kyle, a charming, naive young man who’s desperately in need of a dominant male role model. At the store, he mainly performs mindless and humiliating tasks that no one else will do. His long blond hair and submissive personality may not make him first pick on the football field, but he holds his own at Outdoor Man.
Episode #194 — Keep on Truckin
After Mike’s beloved truck is stolen, just as he completes his 10-year renovation on it, the Baxter family and friends gather together for an emotional goodbye.
First aired: May 20, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Last Man Standing TV show? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a 10th season?

I miss this show it was great, Tim Allen is a great actor down to his movies and his other tv show he had home improvement. And yes it was a clean show family values no bad language, I guess someone in the of abc office didn’t want hear the truth. bring back Last Man Standing!!!!!!!! Oh yeah we aren’t watching abc either lost another viewer.
I was very disappointed and shocked actually, that this show was cancelled. I think the cast had great chemistry, especially Tim and Nancy. I watch the reruns on syndication all the time. What a shame if the reason for cancellation was political. I read Tim Allen had no idea the cancellation was coming, said he was ” blindsided “. It was a funny, family show which there is less and less of each season. ABC you’ve lost another viewer.
This show should be saved. Come on Fox ! It’s a great family show that is truly funny. We have completely stopped watching ABC. Family shows with prayer, pride in America, values do not exist. The entire cast is awesome. Fingers crossed hoping someone picks it up.
This is one of the best shows on television, it is funny realistic and down to earth. The people who cancel the show are the ones that should be fired!
Very upset about the show being cancelled. They should fire the person u cancelled this show. Rating were good.
Bring LAST MAN STANDING back!!!! I watch the re-runs over and over and ENJOY the FAMILY oriented show. The ratings MAY have dropped some, but there are other shows that ratings have dropped and they aren’t CANCELLED….some NEED TO BE though because of the language and sex!!!!
We also watch all the reruns and if people don’t like it they can change the channel I think the lefties have taken advantage of their ridiculous position on the show.
Just take out the political commentary and stick to the jokes . We do not need any more political views from either both sides . Just entertainment will suffice.
LMS needs to be on television, on ABC, CMT or Hallmark. It is a fun show, lots of CLEAN laughs, Mike’s “lessons on life” blogs, all good stuff!
The political correctness of the network is out of control. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican, it doesn’t matter. The current conflicts between the two make for great television and stand up comedy. This is what Tim Allen is all about. His views and or the networks views is not the issue. The show show resume and use all the political inconsistencies between the parties. It makes for entertaining television viewing and also educates the people that don’t have a clue.
We all know WHY Last Man Standing was cancelled. Tim Allen is a Republican. I’m so sick of Hollywood that I’m thinking of just doing away with my service. This show was one of the few shows that was not only family friendly but very enjoyable to watch. I guess TV and even the movie’s coming out of Hollywood now are just not worth watching or seeing.
Well, he’s been a Republican for the entire run of the show…probably has more to do with salaries IMHO
Last Man Standing should NOT be cancelled and should be renewed indefinitely (not just 1 more year). A family that talks to each other, has meals together, has different political opinions and can find the humor in those opinions – plus loving and supportive parents – should be the norm in TV programming. NOT more sex, violence, increasingly bad language and half nude actresses!! LOVE Last Man Standing.
Last Man Standing should be renewed indefinitely (not just 1 more season). We need more shows that highlight a diverse yet close-knit family and LESS sex and violence. Family’s who talk, have meals together, have differing political opinions and parent’s who love & encourage are what our examples in the real world SHOULD be. A little humor thrown in is a breath of fresh air. LOVE THIS SHOW.
Why is it the GOOD shows are cancelled? I’m not a big t.v. watcher, but there are a couple I do like and watch…Last Man Standing & Sun Records being 2 of them.
Last Man Standing deserves to be renewed and ABCs stated reasons for cancellation are complete rubbish.
I will not be watching any more abc shows, mainly because they allowed liberal leadership abc to dictate which show should be allowed to be viewed! Last Man Standing had great values which is needed in today’s entertainment! ABC you can’t say LMS was canceled because of ratings, it was a political move! ABC you lose
