Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

Give Lucifer one last season, at least to close it up. Its a great show and cast and they deserve a proper ending!
I can’t believe Fox have cancelled one of the best Tv series on television at night he moment. I am so disappointed. I only joined Amazon Prime to see this series. Oh well they will save me some money.
this was not a great show because of the script. Or directing. It was because of the casting. And this is miserable. The way you ended it is miserable too. Pathetic
Lucifer should be renewed for Season 4. It is a well written and well acted show.
Well, just what we have come to expect from a network that has had a history of leaving it’s viewers hanging; remember the great show Firefly? They also cancelled that one even before it’s 14th episode. They have a habit of not providing closure to their shows!
Thankfully, I will be moving on to other networks or streaming content till Failed Fox digs it’s head out from it’s nether areas.
How stupid. You find a show you like and some corporate ******* pulls it. That’s what I have quit fox again. You guys suck

please fox! after the season 3 finale, we all would love to know what happens next now that he reveals himself to Chloe. BRING THE DAMN SHOW BACK!!!! WE ARE EAGER FOR A SEASON 4!!!
well that’s another good show with actual good writing that got shafted… **** you fox.
First year was intriguing and I was a big fan. 2nd year and first half of year 3 the devil turned into a teenage idiot. The plot fell apart. There was virtually no devil left in the devil, the dialogue became rediculous juvenile banter. Only in the last 3 episodes was there a glimmer of the original. The ginal episode had the tone of thec1st year and had the blood rushing. I was planning to stop watching at the end of tge season anyway… then bam! finally a good episode again. PLEEEEAAAASE let it continue….. I love this series SOOOOO much… It’s heartbreaking that we won’t be able to se the characters evolve and find their places….

Shame to hear that FOX decided to cancel Lucifer because of the ratings, my personal opinion its that probably FOX wasn’t doing their job promoting Lucifer, saying this based on my experience Im from Mexico and I started watching Lucifer season 1 and 2 on Netflix this year, before that I didn’t even know that Lucifer existed even though I have FOX in cable TV and also in my apple TV. Of course after that, I started watching season 3 on FOX because on Netflix season 3 its not release yet. Anyway I hope FOX would reconsider or that Netflix… Read more »
I really really wish FOX would change their mind and listen to their viewers here and NOT CANCEL Lucifer!!! But if this is truly the end you better make it one DAMN EXCELLENT FINALE!!! Lucifer and Chloe must get together! And Caine killed again! He should take Lucifer’s place as the devil and Lucifer should become a good angel and be happy with Chloe!
