Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

It was my favorite show in the normal fall to spring tv season. I never really liked many Fox shows, since they didn’t have much to offer and on the rare they do like this one and Brooklyn 99 they cancel, thank you NBC. I’ll just stick with the other channels. Dick move on the cliff hanger too. I hope another station picks it up for at least one more season for closure.
I am very disappointed that the series has left all who have watched every session, just hanging. The least you could do is have a final series finally. No more FOX for me. I will stick to CBS, and Netflix!!!!

Its taken so long for Lucifer and Chole to get to the point wher they are in the script, We need to know how they will come thru the latest thing with Lucifer when she sees his Devil and how the two of them will come thru it. Please Listen to us fans, Please at least consider putting it on Hulu or something. We Love Lucifer

Don’t cancel Lucifer! It’s an awesome show with a lot of loyal fans and I am one of them! Fox needs to listen to viewers for a change and not make the same mistake that they made when they cancelled Alien Nation. Stop killing good shows! Lucifer is high in the ratings to its viewers! Please keep the show going!

I was wondering when will FOX give this show the axe, like they always do on great show. Too much belief on the Nielsen ratings I guess. There are other ratings and they show much otherwise. I hope another channel pick this up, is ther another show to watch on FOX? Hard to answer, right!
