Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

I am so sad that fox has cancelled Lucifer. My son and I love watching it together. I hope that Netflix picks it up.
Why!! This is the main TV show that I watch and I love it.
I fell in love with “Lucifer”when I saw the pilot at San Diego Comic-Con and couldn’t wait for the series to air (I had to wait from July to January). I have enjoyed every episode of this series and am heartbroken that Fox has betrayed the fans and canceled this. On the positive side, I will have an extra hour every week. There’s no way I’m watching whatever takes Lucifer’s place. With the cancelation of “Brooklyn 9-9” and Lucifer, I don’t think there’s any series left on Fox that I will be watching. Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please don’t cancel this. There are so few good intelligent programs on already… America needs more interesting “thinker” shows. This will just leave an open spot for some stupid fake reality show or stupid sitcom. Bring Lucifer back.

I am so Done with Fox, Lucifer cancelled Really?!! I thought this one was one of its’ best seasons. I mean they keep crap and let the great shows go, idiot network!! So Not Happy 🙁
Why is it that they can keep stupid shows or no brainers but show that we love and have plot they cancel. We always make sure we are waiting it even on vacation in Aruba or St Maarte, we never miss it. Come on keep it!!
It was a lot of fluff, but it was fun, I think it is worth a lot more than many violence filled shows, very entertaining please save it.
Lucifer is my all time favorite TV show…and that’s saying something as I’m no spring chicken! Lucifans are raising hell on Twitter in hopes FOX will change their decision. If they don’t I fully intend to boycott FoxTV and I encourage all Lucifans to do the same!
So yes Fox cancelled the show ,but we the Lucifans have taken to twitter to fight to save the show. Hopefully another network will pick it up. Hulu,CW would really be nice, possibly netflix. We will never give up we are Morningstars. #saveLucifer
