TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Love this show! Drama, humor & a whole different look at how the real Lucifer would deal with being cast out – can’t wait for Season 3 and hope this show is not cancelled. It works on so many levels and Tom Ellis is the perfect Lucifer
I saw the preview for Season 2 and it looks to be as good as Season 1. Tricia Helfer (Mum) has been now signed as a regular cast member which should make Luci’s life quitter interesting. I wonder what Mum will think of Chloe and Dr Linda. If the writers do a great job then Season 3 could have both Mum and Dad and their issues with Luci and Amenadiel. It would also be great if Chloe’s mom makes several appearances and see the interaction between Penelope Decker and Mum. As for Chloe and Luci the relationship between the two… Read more »
Love this show!
I hope they keep this series going. It gives you a different look at the real lucifer and how he might have felt when cast out. I look forward to more episodes
I think that is one of the things we like about this show, Besides the humour the show also gets us thinking. A show that works on so many levels.
I love this! Can’t wait for season two! Please keep it going
,
Watched this program on the flight to Barbados never heard of it before. Downloaded series one. looking forward to series two. Really enjoyed it.
Does any one else think Tom Ellis would make a great James Bond !!!!!!!
Personally I would prefer Richard Armitage.
ya I think he might but he makes an awesome lucifuer
Another new favorite of mine, Luci is so funny and sexy. You have to keep this one on too.
I am looking forward to this coming season! I love the series…..please renew!
LOVE,LOVE,LOVE the show!!!! Please do no cancel.
LOve the show, please don’t cancel
love this show
I think this series has real potential
I like Lucifer at first. Untill I realized they were humanizing him which, is wrong. He was the angel that Michael the Archangel fought out of heaven. He is pure evil, yet you make him seem as a wronged angel not the demon. This could have repercusion were people start to believe in this. I started too, so I left the show because I his true nature.
On one level Lucifer asks us to take a good look at ourselves and take personal responsibility for our actions. When we look at Dan, he was the one who shot Malcolm but allowed Chloe’s colleagues to think that she was either crazy or lying. In “Take Me Back to Hell” Dan only confesses because the gun he had taken from the police evidence was found at the crime scene. If the gun had not been found Dan would never have told the truth. On a different level Lucifer is a story of redemption and if the Devil is worthy… Read more »
No kidding. This show is part of a larger pattern of the entire entertainment industry attacking Christian theology. They care more about using their bully pulpits to take one more stab than they do about even maintaining their ratings. Most of the positive reviews on this page are written by “make money on the internet from home” shills.
Duff it is satire! In the series Lucifer is only doing what GOD wants in the long run. Sending bad people where they belong.
but he was wronged for speaking up to god that is why he got sent to hell he wanted people to make their own choices and to be them selves than to be a bunch of sheep being told wht to do as it says the lord is my sheppard so really we were told he was bad and evil they wanted us to see him that way.
Having Tricia Helfer as Mum is inspired casting. If she works out we could have a season 3 with Mum and Dad and their issues with their sons. I don’t know if Richard Armitage can do a comedy like Lucifer but he would make a great dad. Anyway the writers have an entire season to cast dad. I still think Linda is the one who was sent by dad and I hope we get more of Luci and Linda in Season 2. In his sessions with Linda we get to see a side of Luci that none of the other… Read more »
