TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Lucifer is one of the best TV series I have ever watched, funny as hell with a great cast and an excellent story. Really hope it doesn’t get cancelled!
I used to think Fox was the network that held off at least a little bit of the sleaze of the other networks, then along came this trash. So hopeless.
Lucifer is a brilliant programme
Please don’t cancel
Agree with other comments why do you cancel the best programmes
My husband and I thoroughly enjoy Lucifer – the acting is very good and the twists and turns keep us chuckling and intrigued. Tom Ellis is terrific. Why do the best shows always get cancelled? Not enough viewers out there that can appreciate good quality productions?
Lucifer just keeps getting better and better. The scene where Mom walks in on Luci pouring wax on his latest conquest is just hilarious. To see how Luci acts around Mom and how he acts around others is like looking at a small kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. I think the direction the writers are taking with Chloe-Luci dynamics is the right one. They are becoming more intimate friends and they have a much deeper respect for and understanding of each other than they did in the first season. Even Dan seems to have finally accepted… Read more »
I love the Luci-Chloe dynamics and wile we can see that they are in love with other they don’t. It’s hilarious the way they interact with each other. I love the final scenes where Luci says as he is being strangled “Of course she’s here. Dectective you need to go away” and where she tells him when he says that he’ll never live it down, “Not if I can help it”. If the writers develop the relationship then I hope it goes at its own pace because I for one, would like to see their permanent happily ever after and… Read more »
Don’t cancel the show, fun to watch, cheers me up every time I watch an episode:)
Did anyone else notice that at the end of the episode Chloe calls Lucifer Luce? Poor Amenadiel, I am actually beginning to feel sorry for him, sitting alone on the bench and seeing his powers diminish probably due to being dumped by Maze. I thought back in Season 1 and still think that Linda is the one sent by Dad because I think the end game is that Dad wants to retire and have Luci take over the family business. As for Chloe I hope the writers don’t make her a supernatural being or a long lost relative as that… Read more »
Season 2, “Everything’s Coming Up Lucifer” a great beginning. Lots of humour, character. plot, etc. I rather like the Lucifer we see in this episode: he’s more complex than last season. It’s interesting to see how the Luci- Chloe dynamic has changed but her choosing not to believe Lucifer when he says that he is the devil is wearing a bit thin. As for Amenadiel I think it is his current emotional state that is causing him to lose his powers while Luci has accepted that he is vulnerable around Chloe. When Chloe asks Luci why it is important to… Read more »
Lucifer is my favorite show.
Don’t cancelled the show it’s so good and interesting.
Just 2 weeks to go before Season 2. I am looking forward to seeing what the writers have done. Casting Tricia Helfer as Mom is a stroke of genius. If the writers continue the great work they did in Season 1 Lucifer could be on TV for years.
This show is entertaining and should not be canceled!
I watched the first year on a lark, and found it extremely entertaining. Loved Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Maze, his monster confidante! I’m looking forward to year two, when Lucifer’s mother shows up!
Lucifer is great. It’s got major sex appeal. I like the ongoing story of a possible love interest between the two main characters. I personally love shows that have interesting day to day plots with the characters getting ever closer as the audience learns more about them. Like Castle, that was one of my all time favorite shows. Specifically for the smoldering background love story.
