What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, MacGyver stars Lucas Till, Tristin Mays, Justin Hires, Meredith Eaton, Levy Tran, and Henry Ian Cusick. A reimagining of the 1985 TV series, this show centers on Angus “Mac” MacGyver (Till), a 20-something adventurer. Mac is an operative in a secret organization within the US government called the Phoenix Foundation. There, he uses his vast scientific knowledge and an extraordinary talent for unconventional problem-solving to save lives. In his high-risk missions, Mac is aided by hacker Riley Davis (Mays); Mac’s best friend, prosthetics expert Wilt Bozer (Hires); Director of Operations Matty Weber (Eaton); the team’s protector, Desi Nguyen (Tran); and Russ Taylor (Cusick), a quick-witted former military operative and manipulator. Under the aegis of the Phoenix Foundation, MacGyver takes on the responsibility of saving the world, armed to the teeth with resourcefulness and little more than bubble gum and a paper clip.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of MacGyver averaged a 0.51 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.74 million viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 24% in the demo and down by 22% in viewership. Find out how MacGyver stacks up against other CBS TV shows.

I look forward to Friday nights with Macgyver and Magnum PI both shows keep me entertained so for those of us who are married and can’t afford to go out all that often these are two shows that my husband and I can watch together
I think reboot is an insult, the MacGyver stands alone as a great entertaining show. Its funny, exciting and one of my favorite showx
On season 5 right now I believe it’s good show not for everyone if you love 1980’s version original depends your interest or not. Really love it so good tv show worth every week keep your opinion to yourself. Hopefully get renewed another season so good boost ratings.
No, it will not be renewed for season 6. Seasons 1-3 had at least 20-22 episodes. Season 5 only had 13. Any time a show decreases episodes is a sign of cancellation. And Jack was killed off. Season 5 is likely the last season. Lucifer and Sabrina probably had more viewers but those shows have been cancelled.
It has a shortened season due to a mix of the pandemic and some leftover unaired episodes from last season. Every series should get something of a pass due to the pandemic. The normal rules should not apply.

So good record every episode watch next day can’t stand commercials all shows so aggravating to me.
Find the program McGyver very interesting and great entertainment. Always have watched every single episode and recorded for watching when away.
