Does Elizabeth McCord still have it all in control during the fourth season of the Madam Secretary TV show on CBS? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Madam Secretary is cancelled or renewed for season five. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all the Madam Secretary season four episodes here.
A CBS political thriller, Madam Secretary stars Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, Bebe Neuwirth, Željko Ivanek, Keith Carradine, Sebastian Arcelus, Patina Miller, Geoffrey Arend, Erich Bergen, Kathrine Herzer, Wallis Currie-Wood, and Evan Roe. The drama follows the shrewd, determined Elizabeth McCord (Leoni). As U.S. Secretary of State, she battles office politics, while driving diplomacy and negotiating global deals.
Elizabeth was once a CIA analyst, who exited that post for ethical reasons. She later returned to public life, at the request of President Conrad Dalton (Carradine). He values her apolitical leanings, knowledge of the Middle East, flair for languages, and unconventional thinking. Elizabeth is married to Henry (Daly), a former theology professor who is now an intelligence operative. Together, they’re bringing up three children, which can really test her diplomatic skills.

please don’t cancel Madam Secretary! I enjoy this show so much it is refreshing and deals with issues at home and in work. I wish I could go back and start watching from the beginning and some of them I missed without paying for them. I hope you don’t cancel this show.
It’s a great show…]lease, don’t cancel it…
During a break on 60 minutes this evening there was a blurb saying Madam Secretary would be on later this evening, but it is not anywhere on the schedule. What is happening? I don’t care about your ratings, I love the show and if I can only get it on Netflix, maybe that is what I will need to do and just forget the money hungry network rating system.
My all time favorite show! When will it be back?
Madam Secretary is my very favorite show on television, especially with all of the political drama that we have going on right now.
The only 4 shows I watch are: Madam Secretary, This Is Us, We’ll Meet Again and Face the Nation (since you hired Margaret Brennan). I refuse to watch the crime shows of violence that permeates primetime TV. There is very little entertainment value for smart, single, women to find inspiration. Madam Secretary fits the bill in the same way Commander In Chief did. Think outside the box CBS. 18 – 49 yr olds don’t know everything.
Amazing family show on parenting and global thinking, ethics and moral of living a life of today as a citizen of this World. It is marvelously written scenario and I hope we shall see more of its clever episodes and fabulous acters in action. My favourite, for its witz and realistic, intelligent, sharp conversations!!!
I absolutely love this show!! Tea Leoni as Madame Secretary is smart, savvy and an amazing diplomat. She finds thoughtful, smart solutions to difficult international problems. What a relief to have such a great show airing on TV. I totally agree with another viewer’s comments that it is a rare gem. . It is so refreshing to have a show with such a strong woman presence in the government, where ethics are of utmost importance. Sorry to see Nadine go! Love who you brought aboard- Kats!!!! She’s great!! But she is over powering the anxiety that Secretary gives. It’s too much that it was making me anxious. And to have Kats speak with Jay, full of excitement-Little too soon. Love her personality- she’s an open book, need a little mystery with her. Demtri and Stevie must continue!!!! Love this show and hope it will continue! Move it back to it’s prime viewing slot and let Madam Secretary live on! We need hope now and for a few more years!
