Can Max make meaningful change in the third season of the New Amsterdam TV show on NBC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like New Amsterdam is cancelled or renewed for season four. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustrated when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the third season episodes of New Amsterdam here.
An NBC medical drama series, the New Amsterdam TV show stars Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher, and Tyler Labine. Doctor Max Goodwin (Eggold) is a caring physician whose goal is to fix a broken medical system and to provide exceptional care to the people who need it most. He inspires (almost) everyone around him, and will stop at nothing to breathe new life into the understaffed, underfunded, and underappreciated New Amsterdam Medical Center. Those working with Goodwin include Dr. Lauren Bloom (Montgomery), the head of the ER; oncologist Dr. Helen Sharpe (Agyeman); cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Floyd Reynolds (Sims); psychiatrist Dr. Iggy Frome (Labine); and Dr. Vijay Kapoor (Kher), head of the Neurological Department. In season three, Max and his team face the daunting task of sustaining that optimism while dealing with a pandemic that exposed the gaping inequities in our health care. Max is no longer content to fix a broken system. He’s determined to tear it down and build something better.
What do you think? Which season three episodes of the New Amsterdam TV series do you rate as wonderful, terrible, or somewhere between? Are you glad that New Amsterdam has been renewed for a fourth season on NBC? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
Still love the show so glad Max and Helen finally got together .Look forward to next season.
Cancel the show. Not interested in liberal opinions and false information. Will no longer watch this show.
What a sad come down for a show that used to have a sensitive but humorous take on medical problems. But now, it has chosen to take on “serious global issues“ such as global warming, racism, equity. It pretends to define these issues as universally accepted and then Max preaches on the solutions. Goodbye, Max. I’m done with you.
My favorite show…
Hard to see how or where this show can evolve over 3 more seasons without the medical storylines sounding like other medical tv dramas. Ultimately, Max and Helen will be a couple but, even though very attractive, are nearing middle age. Maybe, hoping to see some new characters.
Have always loved the show, feels different bow though. Love Iggy.
I have watched New Amsterdam from the beginning and have enjoyed the excellent acting and interesting plot lines. The problem solving involved in medicine is the reason I watch medical dramas. I wish they would get back to practicing medicine and running a hospital without all the bedroom scenes.
The first two seasons of this show were excellent. This season has been a huge negative change. The show is no longer the warm drama about selfless care givers. It is now an advertisement for the progressive wing of the Democratic party. It is like reading the New York Times–it is no longer warm nor entertaining.
Well said!
New Amsterdam is the best medical show in TV!! Second Chicago med. New Amsterdam has real stories about real people and current situations going on around the world now!! The cast is amazing!!! Ryan Eggold plays the perfect part for Max Goodwin, Medical director!! Tyler Labine is another awesome actor and his role as Iggy Frome couldn’t be better for him!!
Absolutely a Great Show. Keep it going please.
Great show! Do not cancel
I think New Amsterdam is one of the best TV series I’ve ever watched. It’s not only about real-life stories; patients’ and staff’s, very deep, intricate and touching but also about the failing health care system all around the world. I especially relate to it because of the brazen, haughty, inconsiderate attitudes of the majority of doctors in clinics and hospitals in Egypt. I am usually appalled at their reluctance to offer empathy to patient’s vulnerabilities. I’d like to dream of a system propagated by New Amsterdam.
great show
I love the show, it shows how the Canadian Health system works for everyone, no matter of your status.
Excellent show & I am a former ICU nurse.
