Does Max have more than he can handle in the second season of the New Amsterdam TV show on NBC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like New Amsterdam is cancelled or renewed for season three. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the season two episodes of New Amsterdam for us here. *Status update below.
An NBC medical drama series, New Amsterdam stars Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher, and Tyler Labine. Doctor Max Goodwin (Eggold) is a caring physician whose goal is to fix a broken medical system and to provide exceptional care to the people who need it most. He inspires (almost) everyone around him, and will stop at nothing to breathe new life into the understaffed, underfunded and underappreciated New Amsterdam Medical Center. Those working with Max include Dr. Lauren Bloom (Montgomery), the head of the ER; oncologist Dr. Helen Sharpe (Agyeman); cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Floyd Reynolds (Sims); psychiatrist Dr. Iggy Frome (Labine); and Dr. Vijay Kapoor (Kher), head of the Neurological Department.

*1/11/20 update: NBC has renewed New Amsterdam for three additional years — seasons three, four, and five — which will take it through the 2022-23 television season.

Surprising that that NA has been renewed for another 3 years. Given the number of medical shows with similar storylines already on TV, hope they can maintain some degree of originality. It’s been my observation that shows tend to get somewhat predictable after 3 years. Good Luck!

I love New Amsterdam and hope it is around for a long time. I was mad the Blacklist killed off Tom Keene I duped not watch it for one year. Now I am so happy he is the lead on this show.
This is one of my favorites. Keep this for another season.
I absolutely love New Amsterdam. It is so true to life. The issues that face the doctors and patients are the same issues we face day in and day out. PLEASE keep this wonderful show on the air.
I watch this show every week. It shows every emotion we humans go through. I think the actors do a great job of showing how we go through the trials…how w attempt to cover up our issues and how we push through when we battle obstacles… love the show. Pleas keep on the air!

Max is marvelous as a caring doctor. I do not like his involvement with the oncologist Dr. Sharpe. She tends to hold him back in my opinion. But a show that is worth watching.
Love this show also very to the point about a lot of stuff no need to cancel.

I really loved Season 1 of this show. The star is so handsome and likable. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if real life Doctors had his values. Not so sure about this season. I hope its not cancelled, but it is lacking something. Just doesn’t seem to have the same spark .
