Ordinary Joe was cancelled by NBC late last week, and several people behind the Monday night drama series, as well as the show’s star, have reacted to the news.
Starring James Wolk, Natalie Martinez, Elizabeth Lail, Charlie Barnett, David Warshofsky, and Teddy Sears, the series revolves around Joe Kimbreau (Wolk) and a pivotal decision that he makes about his life as he graduates college. The show picks up 10 years later and follows three possible paths for his life.
Wolk posted the following about the cancellation on his Instagram account:

The co-creator and two writers from the series also shared their reactions on social media:
Just got official word that there will be no season two of #OrdinaryJoe – couldn’t be more proud of the writers, the actors, the directors, the uber talented craftsmen and women who all came together as a family and made a truly beautiful show. Thank you all. pic.twitter.com/h2u7gAqGRf

Ordinary Joe wrapped its first season last month on NBC.
What do you think? Did you want to see more of Ordinary Joe on NBC?
I thought the show was wonderful. We ALL can think of moments in our lives that were pivotal and we reflect on the repurcussions of we had chosen differently. And there are a zillion more that we’re unaware of. Thanks for addressing this with goo writinf and acting. I did think the first show especially switched back and forth too quickly. I’m so sad it ended.
I am so sad Ordinary Joe is cancelled. It was written, directed and performed by so many creative people. It must have been a very hard show to do….being 3 in one. It was great and will be missed. Why do all the good shows get cancelled and the shi…y shows get renewed???
Please don’t cancel this show
I absolutely loved the show! Please please don’t cancel this NBC. You our number one network that we go to for good shows. And you have some excellent shows and I don’t understand why? Some exclamation about your decisions for doing them understand why!! Please reconsider
Loved the show but as always knew nbc would cut it. They love reality shows to much cut some of them and give us back Joe!!
I loved the show. I’m so sad to see it go
I loved the show. I thought it was unique and interesting and I loved how they color coded each character with blue for cop Joe, green for nurse Joe and orange for music Joe. And to see how he would have turned out in all three instances made it all the more fun to watch. It’s a shame how good shows don’t seem to last long anymore.
I absolutely loved this show and the uniqueness it brought! I’m so sad it will not be coming back and will miss all the characters that became family every Monday night❤️
My Mom and I both LOVED this show! I also loved chatting about it on FB with friends. Such a Great concept and cast! I am mad that it has been canceled!! Looked forward to it every week! Ot ranked with A Million Little Things and This is Us, as far as I am concerned!
I truly loved the show. So dissatisfied with cancellation. Shame shame shame
Great show! Although the last episode gave a clear look at how things were headed.
I agree with other fans of this show. It was a very nice show, with James Wolk shining in all three roles. Yes, it was not a loud or bombastic show, with larger-than-life characters. This was a good portrayal of real life. Now, with this cancellation, we’ve made room for even more obnoxious sitcoms or Reality TV, right?
Another excellent and unique show gets cancelled! Thanks NBC!
This was a great show. Very sorry that it was cancelled.
I want to see more I really liked the show. I would look forward to Monday night at 10pm. I am very sad that the show won’t be on anymore!!
