What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the EPIX cable channel,
Pennyworth is based on Batman and other DC Comics characters created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. The drama stars Jack Bannon, Ben Aldridge, Emma Paetz, Ryan Fletcher, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett, Polly Walker, Jason Flemyng, Dorothy Atkinson, Paloma Faith, James Purefoy, Edward Hogg, Jessye Romeo, Ramon Tikaram, Harriet Slater, Simon Manyonda, and Jessica de Gouw. The story unfolds in 1960s London and follows former British SAS soldier Alfred Pennyworth who works for American billionaire Thomas Wayne (Aldridge), the future father of Bruce “Batman” Wayne. Season two picks up a year after the explosive events of the first season when England finds itself embroiled in a devastating civil war. North London remains one of the few resistance holdouts remaining. Now running a black-market Soho club with his mates, Deon “Bazza” Bashford (Bennett) and Wallace “Daveboy” MacDougal (Fletcher), Pennyworth’s in search of a way out – before London and his country burn themselves to the ground. And he’s got his eye on America.
Pennyworth has been renewed for a third season with a move to HBO Max, which will debut on October 6, 2022. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership, it is difficult to predict whether EPIX will cancel or renew Pennyworth for season three. EPIX is a small premium channel and doesn’t report ratings. Since this series is connected to the Batman mythos, I’m leaning toward a renewal. I’ll keep my ears open and an eye out for news, and will update this page with breaking developments. Myself and my husband have just binge watched series 1 and series 2. Absolutely brilliant! Devastated to find out that there might not be a series 3! Please,please reconsider showing this. Brilliant storyline, amazing acting, enthralling!
PLEASE bring season 3 of Pennyworth on EPIX! I’ve really liked the show so far. I hate it when a good show goes a couple seasons and then is cancelled. I get really involved in good shows like this and feel really disappointed if they don’t come back for a new season. This is one of the good ones, so PLEASE have a season 3!!

Yeah sign deal with hbo max I heard on there streaming service look forward whenever comes on. Season 1 so good watch so far love it from local library township.

I would be upset if it were cancelled! Plot is intriguing, characters are defined and well acted, set direction is fabulous, music is compelling, direction and editing are excellent. Hope it gets renewed ! Still a lot of questions unanswered!
Show is super. Please renew it. Dialogue is wonderful and funny. All of the charactors are great.
