CBS RENEWS SUMMER THRILLER “SALVATION” FOR SEASON TWO
STUDIO CITY, Calif. – Oct. 18, 2017 – CBS today announced the second season renewal of the suspense thriller SALVATION for broadcast during summer 2018. Season two of the serialized drama received a 13-episode order.
SALVATION centers on Liam Cole, an MIT grad student, and Darius Tanz, a tech superstar, who bring Pentagon official Grace Barrows a staggering discovery – that an asteroid is just months away from colliding with Earth. Now with the added threat of nuclear war on the horizon, they work together with Secretary of Defense Harris Edwards to find a way to divert the asteroid, stop the war and save humanity before time runs out.
The series stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, Jacqueline Byers, Rachel Drance and Ian Anthony Dale. Liz Kruger, Craig Shapiro, Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Stuart Gillard and Peter Lenkov are executive producers for CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout.
The fate of CBS’ other summer drama, Zoo, is still up in the air.

I thought Salvation was very interesting. I’m glad it is coming back, just wish it was sooner. Kept me on the edge of my couch. Thanks for a wonderful show.

Thrilled over the news of a second season! It’s a very different show that is much needed and welcome rather than the same old crap that’s on every channel every week. Refreshing!! Kudos to the writers and CBS in keeping the show coming.
I had never seen any advertisement for this show. I stumbled upon it in Amazon Prime, and have just finished the 12th episode. Can’t wait until I see when it starts Season 2. I really enjoyed this series.

Dawson series. I just finished the first season on Amazon Prime and it was awesome wish there had been more. I was hoping that they would renew for a second season. It was great. If they hadn’t I would have been really upset to not finish the series wondering what would have happened.

So happy Salvation has been renewed for season two. It was my favorite summer replacement show and hoped the finale left open the possibility of renewel. Now I know the answer. I hope all the original actors return.

I binge watched the first season and look forward to the second- it is a good escapist fantasy.
