Animation producers (and spouses) Allison Abbate and Tony Cervone recently stopped by the Radio Rashy podcast to talk with animation writer/producer Paul Dini and his wife, actress/magician Misty Lee.
A lot of the discussion revolved around Abbate’s work on Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie feature film but Cervone, who’s a supervising producer on Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, mentioned the Cartoon Network series.
Cervone said, “There are 11 shows left that will finish the series off at 52 episodes. I’m not sure when they’re coming back. I never know when they’re coming back. If I had to guess, probably in the summer because it usually airs in the summer. But I can’t wait for these last 11 to get out for people to see them because they’re crazy.”
At 2011’s ComicCon, Cervone and fellow supervising producer Mitch Watson teased that events in the pilot episode would pay off in the 52nd episode. We now know that will be the series finale.
One of the most recent episodes, which aired last fall, featured appearances by classic Hanna-Barbera characters Blue Falcon, Dynomutt, Race Bannon, Doctor Benton Quest (Jonny’s scientist dad), and evil Doctor Zin. It turns out that Doctor Quest created the Dog Wonder!
Though Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated won’t be returning for a third season, it’s a safe bet that Scooby and the gang will return soon.

Well, geeez…what to start with??? First of all i love this new series of Scooby Doo. I watched Scooby Doo as a child, and i still do! Im 19 years old feling like a kid. I think what you should do is to still create Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated.
I really want to know if Fred and Daphne will be together, i also would like to know if they finally found the hidden mystery in Crystal Cove……
Hello, Please put season 3 out. I need to know what happends next, it has one of the best story lines I’ve heard for scooby doo, plus I love the look of the show. It’s so up to date. But seriously, I love this show so much and have been watching it sine it first aired. Hello i’m a 19 year old guy who has been watching this series since the very start. and i would demand that there MUST be more seasons in this scooby doo series… me and my girlfriend loves watching it.. T____T
I’m thirty years old, and I love this new Scooby doo, it has the best story line out of all the Scooby doo’s. Please please bring it back. I’m going to email WB. this isn’t right! I always thought Scooby doo was cute, and fun to watch, but mystery incorporated is by far the best from all the Scooby doo’s even the movies weren’t as good as this series. Thank you!

Guys if you want to make Warner bros make a season 3 then do this, go to warnerbros.com then search “contact” then click the first one, then click all their emails and send them something like “Please make more Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated season 3. A lot of fans beside me also want this, look on many websites, most are begging for a season 3, please.” I already did that so I hope most you will, try it you have nothing to lose.

I really love the show and I swear, I don’t want it to end in any sort of manner. This show must continue. It’s the best and most interesting Scooby Doo series I’ve seen. I loved this show so much…My baby brother who’s two, watches it all day… My sister who’s 10 watches it.. I’m 14 and I watch it…I’ve been a huge Scooby Doo fan. I’ve watched all the original shows, movies, etc. I don’t want to believe they ended the show. But I still persist to ask, Please keep the show up and running? Obviously there is a huge fan base. Are they going to let all those fans down? Crush all of their wishes of seeing Scooby Doo rebooted? Well? Are they?
Look, I have been watshing scoody doo mystery incorporated and have indentified with the characters! I agree that it was the best version of scooby doo!! Please… make more seasons! I really hope they at least finish the unanswered questions…. I have watched Scooby doo all of my life and when I stumbled across this Scooby doo series I couldn’t help but watching it. This might be the best series out of all the Scooby doo versions… PLEASE finish it! Also if you want to add more episodes ill watch :p but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE finish it.
