Back in 1997, David Boreanaz made a big splash for three seasons as Angel on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and then for five seasons in the same role, in the Angel spin-off. After only a year off screen, he returned to star as Seeley Booth for all 12 seasons of Bones on FOX. Without taking much of a breather, Boreanaz is back as Jason Hayes in the new SEAL Team TV show on CBS. Has he brought his serious small-screen staying power to the Tiffany Network? Will SEAL Team be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A military action drama, SEAL Team stars Boreanaz, Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, Toni Trucks, Jessica Paré, and Judd Lormand. The CBS TV series centers on an exclusive Navy SEAL unit as they train for, plan, and risk their very lives to carry out perilous missions for the sake and honor of the U.S.A. Fierce and focused Jason Hayes (Boreanaz) leads the Tier One team. Despite the hardship it causes them and their families, this SEAL team is ready, willing, and able to embark upon secret missions at the drop of a hat. Their love of country and deep resolve is unmatched. **Status update, below.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/17 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the SEAL Team TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for second season on CBS?

Cancel it’s stupid !!
Great show! Believable characters and methods. DO NOT CANCEL!
I love this show! Finally something worth waiting through commercials for! A great mix of action, drama and just enough romance for whoever likes that kinda stuff…lol… overall a great show!
Wonderful show best on TV great mix of family life and military action. It should definitely get renewed.
I liked the show at first, but then it got really boring. My Navy Seal buddy, hates the show. He says “it’s so far off, from being realistic. Anyone that watches it, is just wasting their time.” It’s really disappointing, because I wanted so much to like it. The show (The Brave) is awesome. Keeps you on the edge of your seat, the entire episode.
Excellent show. Please find a good slot for it.
Seal team is really good and it needs to be renewed. In so many ways it’s like reality not just made up. Hope they keep up the good work
Great show I have loved everyone of the shows please don’t cancel it for another stupid show but I do wonder about the dog is it a real Military dog? Sure has great training. We really need more of these type of shows that show a little about what our Military does even though I know its not all real it really draws a person in
Absolutely love this show. Now we get to the action AND the effects on the families with uncertainty every time the phones calls them in.
This is my favorite TV show and it better be back! Great acting and good balance and pace. Never quit!
Renew fantastic show, it shows America great again
67 yr. old female. This is one of the best shows on network tv. Therefore, it’s doomed. I feel like I’m sitting in a theater watching drama & action.
