Smash is ending this Sunday night with a two-hour finale. The show has been cancelled but fans of the musical series will at least be able to own the series on DVD.
The four-disc set of season two will be available on August 6th, priced at $44.98 (though you should be able to get it cheaper at Amazon). No word on any extras, a Blu-ray release, or if a complete series set will be made available.
The limited edition first season DVD set offered commentary and special content so hopefully a season two set will have some nice extras as well — perhaps even some insight into what might have happened in season three.
What do you think? Do you plan on picking up season two of Smash on DVD? Is a Blu-ray set important to you? Do you own the first season in some form?
I really wish they would be picked up by another network. Loved this show. So nice to watch something different! We don’t need another police/detective/medical show and we don’t need any more reality tv.
my favorite show on TV the only show i watch live
I love Smash and hope another channel will pick it up. I looked forward to each episode and I will definitely buy the DVD. I do not care for all the reality tv shows. Most of them are not entertainment just major junk.
Please dont cancel this show…it so awesome! First show i actually tuned to in a really long time. Bring it back
Bummer!!! Really liked this show..
Smash, I smash into ash. Go to hell the series. No one bother even they don’t release DVD. Really, SMASH -RIP.
Rest in peace smash, hope that someone will pick this series up and fix it and make it shine like it should’ve done.NBC didn’t do enough for this show they just turned their back on the show and let it die in a corner!
curse you NBC! Nothing. But.cancellation.
I am very upset that SMASH has been cancelled. Love this show!~
