TV show description:
From creators Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman, the Star Trek: Discovery TV show is the latest series in the enduring science-fiction franchise. A prequel to Star Trek: The Original Series, the drama follows the crew of the USS Discovery during the Cold War between the Federation and the Klingons
Star Trek: Discovery centers on First Officer Michael Burnham (Martin-Green), who served on the USS Shenzhou before being assigned to the USS Discovery. “Number One,” as she is known, was a ward of Mr. Spock’s (Leonard Nimoy) father, the Vulcan Ambassador Sarek (Frain). Because of her upbringing, Michael has a rare point of view and is always striving to balance emotion with logic.
The first human to attend the Vulcan Learning Center, and an alumna of the Vulcan Science Academy, Michael brings a conscientious and ethical perspective to her duties. Before grasping alien cultures, she must learn to understand herself.
Michael is mentored by Captain Philippa Georgiou (Yeoh) of the U.S.S. Shenzhou. A war veteran, Captain Georgiou is no stranger to loss. Still, she sees the good in others and believes in mankind and extraterrestrials.
Although Star Trek: Discovery features a new ship, new characters, and new missions, it espouses the same ideals and optimism that have drawn in audiences for more than 50 years.
Series Finale:
Episode #65 — Life, Itself
With a powerful ancient technology up for grabs, Burnham and Moll battle each other inside a mysterious alien portal as Book, Rayner, and the crew of Discovery wage a ferocious fight to protect Burnham and the future of the Federation.
First aired: May 30, 2024.
What do you think? Do you like the Star Trek: Discovery TV series? Should this TV show be ending or renewed for a sixth season on Paramount+?
Best of the best! Please keep the episodes coming! I will watch CBS as long as long as Star Trek Discovery is on!!!!!!
I love the photography its a big waw and the cast top performance but the scenario wasn’t that much good especially its promotion for homosexuality I really do not agree as many of your followers are young children and you would be teaching them that being gay is okay and I drow a line here, also the scenario was repeated with the similarity this has to be improved, overall I love the show and I want more of it,
I loved every second of it. The finale was absolutely awesome.
Wow what happened to startrek . I was really looking forward to discovery . I am very dissapointed with this show . It seems to be just another politically correct soap opera . Not one intelegent or wise indevidual among them, including spock whom I’m sure is turning is his grave at the newest and angryest version of him yet. There seems to be no redeeming value to the show yet, just drama.
This show is not only Ground breaking in its Special Effects and Makeup, but it is far from being Politically Correct, this show expands the Star Trek Universe in ways that even the Movies haven’t done. Well done Star Trek Discovery and long may you continue.
“intelegent or wise indevidual”s have always enjoyed the political correctness of Star Trek. It has always been a franchise that delivered stunning effects for its time, loads of action AND a moral or political message. Not sure how one can interpret Discovery’s production values, high pace action and very simple message of people working together with respect and dignity as anything short of what any intelligent and wise individual would expect from the Trek franchise.
Cancel. I don’t want Klingons on my tv. It’s not star trek anymore….and represents most of the things wrong with tv producers today.
I only watch 2 shows these days – Discovery, and The Orville. Both are ground-breaking television – well worth your while. Can’t wait for the Picard series.
Let it die. Mot worth watching let alone paying for it
Why do people want this great series to be cancelled?
In short Plot holes and horrible writing. First they do not introduce the bridge crew and then they kill one off and expect us to care about it…They invent canonbreaking stuff and don’t use it solve there own problems. They have a diverse cast, but only one person is solving all the problems. The first season was about a war, which was solved by extortion, placing trust in an captured enemy spy, who had literally no reason to be their friend. Lorell was forced to give up her love for the Feration(voq), why would she make peace? The second season… Read more »
Best Star Trek series since the original. Love the show. Season 2 is awesome so far,but season 1 was defining tv.
Again great Star Trek is back!!! Love the new cast and stories. Far better than the new movies that are out in theaters.
really? you love the new cast? name all of the recurring bridge officers and their positions without looking up a wiki.
Great cast and story lines. One of the best new shows on television. Never miss an episode.
I became scientist because of original Star Trek and Star Wars only to have feminism destroy them even science they deny no less than Creationists did. I haven’t watched a Star Trek or Star Wars since the original movies, don’t care, will never watch/read again.
You don’t want feminism in your Star Trek? Uhura, Beverly, Kira, Katherine, T’Pol and Michael might disagree on its place in the franchise.
I love this New show and told everyone about How Great iy is Thank You Very Much
absolute garbage and an insult to Star Trek Fans !!
Sunday, February 18, 2018 IF – IF – Michael is, perpetually, going to b played diametrically in opposition to her commanding officer – and ALWAYS b justified – give her a Captaincy and b done with it. I LOVE Sonequa and what she brought to the 1st episodes, viz., Michael was robust, forceful, a commanding & definitive character. She owned star billing. Towards the end of Season 1, she has abjured Burnham’s power and presence. Now it seems, she speaks, drops her voice and – with the most delicious diction since Jane Fonda – shotguns/machineguns/blasts thru her lines, seemingly to just… Read more »
