What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, the SWAT TV show stars Shemar Moore, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Lina Esco, Kenny Johnson, David Lim, Patrick St. Esprit, and Amy Farrington, with Bre Blair, Obba Babatundé, Deshae Frost, Rochelle Aytes, Susan Chuang, Chris L. McKenna, and David Gautreaux in recurring roles. The crime thriller centers on Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson (Moore), a Los Angeles native and former Marine who’s been tapped to lead a new “last stop” Special Weapons And Tactics unit (S.W.A.T.). Thanks to his background, he is uniquely qualified to lead the team in a manner that also builds a bridge to the community he holds dear. Hondo’s group includes seasoned David “Deacon” Kay (Harrington), cocky newcomer Jim Street (Russell), canine trainer Christina “Chris” Alonso (Esco), expert driver Dominique Luca (Johnson), and informant-connected Victor Tan (Lim). Responsible for the management of all Metro Division S.W.A.T. units is Commander Robert Hicks (St. Esprit), a senior LAPD official with the Special Operations Bureau.
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of SWAT averaged a 0.42 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.16 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 26% in the demo and down by 22% in viewership. Find out how SWAT stacks up against other CBS TV shows.

While I don’t think that it will necessarily be cancelled this time, it could end up on the chopping block if the network needed a slot on the schedule for another series. Renewed no doubt about about. Maybe season 6 could be the finale?
SWAT deserves to be renewed for season 5 without a doubt! The actors on the show puts it out there every week with their remarkable performances. They make you believe the situation is 100% real with their interactions with each other. Plus I love the fact they use actual storyline of what’s happening in the world today not just make believe criminals or situations. The actors are family in how they treat one another. Shemar is fantastic as Hondo he shows his vulnerable side as well as his hard hitting, no messing around kick ass side. We need more shows… Read more »

I’ve watched the original and the movie. Swat is a great show and I wish the ratings were better. The problem is the recording and all the streaming service out there takes away a lot of the true numbers especially the fact that I am 52 and not part of the important demographics!!! The show is a reboot and a lot of us older people watch and Luke the show. Have watched Shemar Moore thru Y&R, his caring Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds & now as compassionate Hondo. Good supporting cast as well. S4 opener was truly touching to watch, a beautiful tribute. I could do a season 5! Thanks for asking. 🙂
