Telly’s Take
Allow me to rip off the bandage. Although I’m a rather creative bird of prey, I can’t imagine that MTV would renew Sweet/Vicious for a second season. Currently, it is its lowest rated scripted show. For comparison, consider its cancelled TV series Finding Carter, Eye Candy, and Happyland. During their final seasons, these shows earned a 0.29, a 0.25, and a 0.18, respectively, in the coveted 18-49 year old viewer demo. If MTV does renew Sweet/Vicious, it will be because the cable channel thinks it can retool and better promote an admittedly critically well-received show. 4/28 update: MTV has cancelled Sweet/Vicious. What do you think? Do you hope the Sweet/Vicious TV show will be renewed for a second season? How would you feel if MTV cancelled this TV show, instead?
Everytime MTV comes out with a good show they have to cancel it. Once again I guess I am watching anything but MTV. Starting to think they couldn’t keep a good show on TV. Getting ready to dump all services. Nothing but crap on anymore.
Renew season 2! Renew season 2! Renew season 2! The show relates to a real problem in many lives. Thats what MTV shows are about.
Please don’t cancel!RENEW RENEW RENEW
I definitely hope it’s renewed. There aren’t many shows dealing with rape that, well, *deal* with it rather than use it for cheap drama. Or that have such an absolute focus on the victims. Or that take shots against rape culture as well than individual bad guy rapists. Or show the power of solidarity when fighting back against it. (The wall scene by itself is as heartrending as many dramas get through their entire runs).
love the show don’t cancel it
I really hope Sweet/Vicious will be renewed this is why: -It sends a great message -It shows how to defend yourself -it shows that even if your afraid to get your message out there, you will always have our friends by your side Even though Sweet/Vicious isn’t getting very many views doesn’t mean people don’t outrageously love it! It’s a great show, and I’d be so saddened if it ends. These characters on the show are so fun to watch, please don’t end it MTV! It might even get better and better rating as the second season comes on, if… Read more »
