Episode 01-01 & 02: Monday, 9/26/11
The two hour premiere attracted a 3.1 rating in the all-important 18-49 demographic and 9.22 million. It was in third place for the timeslots and surely a disappointment for FOX considering the production expenses and promotion.
On the positive side, the two hours showed very good retention which means that most people who tuned in kept watching until the end. That’s a positive indicator for next week.
When you compare this with last season’s 8pm premiere of House, the network was down by 24% in the demo. On the positive side, Terra Nova improved over last year’s quickly-cancelled Lone Star premiere by 238%.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

I love this show sooooo much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I’m Lyndsay and i’m 15 . I’m not much of a TV watcher. I like movies. The last show i was in love with was LOST. I thought i would never find i show i loved as much when it ended until i watched the season premire. I loved it sooooo much . I watch it all the time with my two brothers: Noah who is 17 and Nick who is my twin. Even my little sister Emma watches it. The whole Becker family watches it all the time except my dad, but thats beacause he runs a smoothie shack.… Read more »
I think Terra Nova should stay on. I love it i watch it all they time. I have dreams about that show. If it is canceled i will cry and so will my 4 sisters, 2 brothers, mom, and dad. I LOVE TERRA NOVA.
You keep “REALITY” shows on that truly suck and cancel Terra Nova. Brilliant! Liked this show, now have to watch mind numbing Kartrashians, Jersey Wives, and The View. Give me a break you Yuppy Pukes, next you will have me watching re-runs of the Nanny or renting porn videos.
Please don’t cancel the show.
i loved terra nova. it was a great show with wonderful actors and great story line. please do not cancel.
Corporate wisdom and political reasoning are non-existent these days.
don’t cancel it brotha
🙂
I can’t tell you how disappointed I will be if this show is cancelled. It seems every time I get hooked on a show, it’s cancelled. Case in point, “The Event,”
Please do not let this show fade away. I really look forward to seeing it and I am very disappointed it’s not on weekly. I love the special effects and original writing.
Please don’t cancel this show. the whole family can watch..no graphic sex..so foul language…love the dinosauers!! We keep all these reality shows about who’s going to marry whom, how the “famous” familiies live. situation comedy shows that are less than funny, trash taslking “cartoon” series, but let’s end a pgm that my granddaughter could watch…
Do not cancel, great show ! Awesome story, great special effects, whole fam watches it together.
pls save this show, it has real promise.
dont get why they wud think of cancelling this show?!??!–i mean how many shows have such awesome special effects like they do in the movies!! and how many have dinosaurs that look so real–come on guys KEEP IT GOING!!!
luv both the new ALcatraz and this–keep me entertained –pleaseeeeee thanks-xo
I think Terra Nova is a really good show and should NOT be cancelled. I like the characters who are developing into interesting people. The show is imaginative and such a NICE change from the reality shows and really stupid comedies with tracked laughter. Please keep Terra Nova going. It is very good.
Maybe a little advertising would get more people there?
