What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, The Blacklist stars James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff, Amir Arison, Hisham Tawfiq, Laura Sohn, and Harry Lennix. The crime drama centers on one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives, Raymond “Red” Reddington (Spader), who offers to help the authorities if a specific rookie agent, Elizabeth Keen (Boone), partners with him. In season eight, with his back against the wall, Red faces his most formidable enemy yet — Elizabeth. Aligned with her mother, infamous Russian spy Katarina Rostova, Liz must decide how far she is willing to go to find out why Reddington has entered her life and what his endgame really is. The fallout between Red and Keen will have devastating consequences for all that lie in their wake, including the Task Force they helped to create.
Season Eight Ratings
The eighth season of The Blacklist averaged a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.26 million viewers. Compared to season seven, that’s down by 36% in the demo and down by 23% in viewership. Find out how The Blacklist stacks up against other NBC TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will NBC cancel or renew The Blacklist for season nine? It’s seemed like The Blacklist might be in its final year for a while but the show keeps going. The ratings are low but the series gained some viewers last year. I suspect that the series will continue as long as Spader wants to keep making it and as long as Sony Pictures Television (which produces the series) can make a financial deal with NBC that suits both sides. The end of the series should be a great ending worthy of the viewer and not insult his intelligence
The Blacklist has the #1 spot on my DVR. Although I haven’t loved the story line since Liz went rogue, I still love the show and can’t wait for season 9. Is Red Katarina? Is Liz actually dead or was it all an elaborate hoax by Red, knowing Liz would never be able to kill him? Can’t wait to find out! We can live without Liz but there would be no show without Red Reddington. ❤️James Spader/ Hisham Tawfig

Tha blacklist are the best tv show ever Reddington must live on .he needs to keep going .season 9 ye and 10 this show are far better than fast and ferious.way better

I think the writers have lost their way. If they kill off Red and leave Liz the show is done. She has been an adequate actress for sure, but I hate how her character has evolved. I wouldn’t mind Townsend following his original plan.. That would solve so much! The ungrateful daughter that still wants to kill him. If they kill off Red that is the end of the show for sure. Blacklist is a great show though, the writers have lost their way.
The character of Liz by Megan was a big mistake, she should have
been casted on a ‘Soap Opera’, her acting ability leaves much to be
believed. Anyway, wishing the writers will find their way, perhaps,
the Brits can help, they are great with drama’s, the best.
I’m sorry to hear viewer’s don’t care for Keens acting. I think she is great considering her many different faces she has to work with. Perhaps viewers are confusing her ability to act with her character in the movie. I believe she handles it well.

I love the show don’t get me wrong. And I don’t want it to be canceled, but it’s been going on for 8 ******* years and we still don’t know ****. I get that keeping the secret under wraps is good for the show.. But it’s been 8 years, don’t we deserve a little bit of information. He is redding ton, now he is not. He is liz’s dad, now he is not. Yes! I’m ecstatic that the Blacklist was renewed for season 9. Hoping for a season 10!
UK here, my dad told my wife about it after exhausting most of the net of movies & stuff I’d call crap. I’m either in work, tinkering in the shed ot on ps4. Anyway my parents left & she put it on straight away & made us a cup of tea. I thought I’ll give it a go. 164 episodes in 3 weeks after that. Binge or what. Gutted because now we had to wait for the next episode on the weekly. Really happy season 9 will come to fruition. Maybe a conclusion if they think it won’t carry on.… Read more »
I watch it in the UK on Sky 1 channel, it is brilliant, my family also are addicted, long may it continue.
I find it to be one of the greatest shows on television I hope it does more and more. Raymond reddington is the best I’m not a big fan of liz however. But knowing so many people in the intelligence business over the years I am amazed how closely the blacklist tracks to reality thank you for a great show
