From creator and star, Seth MacFarlane, The Orville TV show is a live-action space adventure, set 400 years in the future. The story centers on the crew of a mid-level exploratory spaceship, The U.S.S. Orville.
In 2417, Ed Mercer (MacFarlane) is promoted to captain the Orville, with the assistance of First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki). Unfortunately, she’s his ex-wife, and her presence acts as a bridle on his enthusiasm.
Dr. Claire Finn (Jerald); helmsman Gordon Malloy (Grimes); Lt. Commander Bortus (Macon); his mate, Klyden (Coleman); security officer Alara Kitan (Sage); navigator John LaMarr (Lee); and A.I. life-form Isaac (Jackson) round out the crew. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, these humans and aliens still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.

What do you think? Do you like The Orville TV series? Should this TV show be cancelled or renewed for another season on FOX Hulu?
I love this show!! It’s a beautifully produced Sci Fi show with great stories, interesting characters & potty mouthed wit!! What’s not to love??
Better then most of the depressing stuff out there!!
Please renew its way better then star trek discovery
Please renew this! I still miss Firefly, don’t do that to us again.
A super refreshing, optimistic sci-fi show in a sea of dark, drudgery shows with story lines so complex you need a guide to watch. The Orville characters are relatable and memorable, the stories are funny but thought provoking — exactly as good sci-fi should be.
Love this show! Please keep it going!
I love the show and how it tackles very thought provoking subjects with great humor!
I find The Orville funny, sometimes cringy, smart, fresh, and nostalgic. I Love It! Keep it going.
The Orville is a great show. I wasn’t sure if I would like it at first, a SciFi show with comedy?? The writers have done a wonderfull job and I hope it is around for MANY Seasons to come.
The Orville is imaginative, well crafted and thought provoking. It is a ‘worthy successor’ to Star Trek at its best. Under Orville we can be confronted by things no other show will touch: Gender Rights, the Media, the Dignity of the Person and so forth. Orville is just beginning to hit its stride with Ep. 7 and future ones promise more. Please consider the quality and groundbreaking essence of the show.
It’s excellent both as a sci fi image to countless starships and confederations (Unions) god stories, contemporary issues, fine acting, decent props/aliens – Human centric (no Babylon 5) given time – the humor is way better than expected!
More Seth and team – keep up the good work!
Please do not cancel this show. All I am saying…is Give Orville a Chance.
The best show on the air! People say it is Star Trek. It does not matter. The show captures you and looks at different issues and ideologies. The show feels like it is real people doing real things. It gives us hope and looks to a better future.
This is one of my new favorite shows, please renew, it is funny and thoughtful. Very different from other TV. Love it!!!
Dont cancel this show! Gotta have some star trek to watch sonce discovery isnt trek.
if you have half a brain DON’T CANCEL THIS SHOW it is excellent sci fi, great comedy and insightful social commentary I think the fan base will only get bigger
