TV show description:
From creator and star, Seth MacFarlane, The Orville TV show is a live-action space adventure, set 400 years in the future. The story centers on the crew of a mid-level exploratory spaceship, The U.S.S. Orville.
In 2417, Ed Mercer (MacFarlane) is promoted to captain the Orville, with the assistance of First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki). Unfortunately, she’s his ex-wife, and her presence acts as a bridle on his enthusiasm.
Dr. Claire Finn (Jerald); helmsman Gordon Malloy (Grimes); Lt. Commander Bortus (Macon); his mate, Klyden (Coleman); security officer Alara Kitan (Sage); navigator John LaMarr (Lee); and A.I. life-form Isaac (Jackson) round out the crew. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, these humans and aliens still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.

The Orville is a fantastic sci-fi series! It is much more entertaining than Star Trek. Plenty of drama, suspense, special effects seasoned with romance and a keen sense of humor. The Orville should NOT be cancelled – it is light-years beyond the majority of the current ‘programs’!

Renew it! Real and potential human issues are illuminated, but the cast and writers keep it light. I enjoyed the first season a lot!

I just don’t feel that the show is covering any new ground. It’s doing everything any Star Trek show has ever done. It just shows more side boob and they swear a lot. I think the show should have just gone balls out and been over the top outrageous. I hope it ends quickly for the viewers sake and is not a long drawn out death like Star Gate Universe.
Seinfeld was nearly canceled after the first season. Modern Family was only supposed to run for 2 or 3 seasons. Giving up on a series after just 12 episodes is just cowardly. There is so much REAL garbage on the air (Kardashians) why would you throw in the towel on something that could find a loyal following?
