TV show description:
From creator and star, Seth MacFarlane, The Orville TV show is a live-action space adventure, set 400 years in the future. The story centers on the crew of a mid-level exploratory spaceship, The U.S.S. Orville.
In 2417, Ed Mercer (MacFarlane) is promoted to captain the Orville, with the assistance of First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki). Unfortunately, she’s his ex-wife, and her presence acts as a bridle on his enthusiasm.
Dr. Claire Finn (Jerald); helmsman Gordon Malloy (Grimes); Lt. Commander Bortus (Macon); his mate, Klyden (Coleman); security officer Alara Kitan (Sage); navigator John LaMarr (Lee); and A.I. life-form Isaac (Jackson) round out the crew. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, these humans and aliens still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.

I think The Orville just keeps getting better and better. The way Seth McFarland treats current social issues is more like Roddenberry Star Trek than today’s Star Trek. Episodes S02E08 & S02E09 have added a level of intensity that has been missing and Episode S02E10 has brought great maturity to the series. I love this series!
I love the Orville! It needs a season 3. It is different then most of the other shows. I get tired of reality shows or murder or the dub in laugh tracks.
I love the Orville and I hope it gets a third, fourth and beyond season. I’m so sick of murder and reality on TV…it’s sad and depressing! This is something from my childhood…just newer! Sometimes the characters annoy me and sometimes they make me laugh and I always want to see them again. The Orville is something myself and the granchildren can watch, something that stirs the imagination and gets them looking at the stars and dreaming 🙂
this show deserves a third season because of its solid writing and solid performances and is the best show on commercial television it’s a fantastic show
The show goes from strength to strength and it would be a tragedy if it wasn’t renewed, they renewed the dross that is the pretend Star Trek (first season was just about bearable but can’t bring myself to watch the second, the reviews are terrible.
Please keep The Orville on the air. It is a fun show that makes you think as well. They also talk like real people and not sanitized like other shows.

The Orville should be given another season. It is a fresh relief from the undesirable programs on at the time schedule. It is a perfect follower of Young Sheldon. Keep it on the air. It will surely be missed. It could run for a lot of seasons like Star Trek series.
Keeper with this latest episode “Identity (1)” Seth outdid himself. If renewed it looks to be a real interesting third season!

I saw that the actress is doing other shows, and the shooting schedule was too much for her so she left. They did write in a way for her to come back though.

When “The Orville” has a serious drama, it’s grrreat. When it bases a entire segment on bizarre humor, it is NOT great (& not so very funny, either). The original Star Trek often injected humor into an otherwise serious drama, but did not ever turn an entire segment over to it. The same was true of Star Wars. If The Orville wants to hit the same level as those 2 greats, then get serious, with just a bit of tongue in cheek. Please!
Did not know of the show till this season. Now it’s one of the top 3 shows I watch. The Orville, Manifest, & The Black List.
It has a good mix, need more shows like this. Hope it (they) will be on for years to come.
