TV show description:
From creator and star, Seth MacFarlane, The Orville TV show is a live-action space adventure, set 400 years in the future. The story centers on the crew of a mid-level exploratory spaceship, The U.S.S. Orville.
In 2417, Ed Mercer (MacFarlane) is promoted to captain the Orville, with the assistance of First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki). Unfortunately, she’s his ex-wife, and her presence acts as a bridle on his enthusiasm.
Dr. Claire Finn (Jerald); helmsman Gordon Malloy (Grimes); Lt. Commander Bortus (Macon); his mate, Klyden (Coleman); security officer Alara Kitan (Sage); navigator John LaMarr (Lee); and A.I. life-form Isaac (Jackson) round out the crew. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, these humans and aliens still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.

This was quite possibly the most entertaining show on TV. It would be such a shame if fox didn’t renew it. The show has not yet found it’s target audience, for any host of reasons. But once it has, it would be a top rated show. Maybe it’s the name which throws peoples interest off. Or something else simple like that. You can’t compare this show to Star Trek, it’s not even close. Even though I wasn’t alive then, it was a different time. There was no internet and no way for Networks to gauge fan interest, viral promotions or accurate ratings.
Now, there is so much exposure for TV and movies if you don’t do well, it’s because people didn’t like it. Which is evident here by the ratings. The show was not good.
It’s too bad that Fox is no longer going to have this show. It is excellent but won’t be watching on HULU.

The Orville has been the most enjoyable T.V. Series since the latest Star Trek Movies. It combines science fiction, drama and humor. It has been at the top of my timers list on my Dish receiver since it’s last episode. (Saved) Please don’t end good T.V.

Bon Voyage to The Orville. I don’t watch enough TV to justify subscription services like Hulu, CBS, Netflix… The Orville was one of the literal handful of shows I watched yearly on the networks.
I think they should not cancel The Orville. It is a funny and quirky show. It reminds me of Star Trek with a Twist. I would really miss it if it was canceled. But I think it would have a long time following (in reruns), even though it was only on for a short time.
It should definitely be renewed

So sad The Orville is being moved to Hulu. And we won’t be able to watch it anymore!
We live in a very rural area and cannot watch Hulu doe to extremely poor internet.
Why do networks ruin good shows by canceling them or limit access by having it move to a paid format. Fox, very disappointed in you! Please reconsider.
Same here. Hulu & I came to a parting of the ways when the app started demanding that I turn on location tracking. It is is like the song by The Police “Every Breath You Take” (a song about an obsessive ex-lover.)

Really this is why I don’t start watching new shows. Especially good ones. Would rather watch reruns than any reality waste of time. I high tale it home for some of these shows. Guess Last Man Standing is next . We may need a show about paint drying or animals cooking. Bet if some one can die on the 911 show ratings will go up, sarcasim!
