There’s lots more personal and medical drama in the sixth season of The Resident TV show on FOX. As we all know, Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like The Resident is cancelled or renewed for season seven. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. A FOX medical drama series, The Resident TV show stars Matt Czuchry, Manish Dayal, Bruce Greenwood, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jane Leeves, Anuja Joshi, Jessica Lucas, Miles Fowler, Kaley Ronayne, and Andrew McCarthy. The series follows a group of doctors at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges on a daily basis. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. The staff includes Chief Resident Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), resident internist Devon Pravesh (Dayal), cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. AJ Austin (Warner), veteran doctor Randolph Bell (Greenwood), neurosurgery resident Billie Sutton (Lucas), surgical intern Leela Devi (Joshi), emergency doctor Kincaid “Cade” Sullivan (Ronayne), renowned pediatric surgeon Ian Sullivan (McCarthy), and CEO Dr. Kit Voss (Leeves).

Just watched Season Six finale and have never enjoyed a season ending episode more- but that actually concerns me a bit. SPOILER ALERT: if you haven’t seen it yet, choose whether you want to read on. Unlike most season ending episodes; this one seemed to tie up ALL of the loose ends AND even gave us a little more news we may not have expected. There so few decent shows to watch anymore, this was one of the good ones. I would be saddened if it was taken off the air.

One of the best shows on network television, this show needs to continue its run. The characters are well written and have evolved with each season. It’s ridiculous that the networks keep canceling good series for nonsensical reality shows featuring nobodies seeking 15 minutes in the limelight.

What is going on with t v lately all of the good ones are gone and people don’t care enough to get it by going out or can’t afford to by the time it’s over no one will care

I normally love this show, but I feel like it is becoming very preachy. I watch for entertainment, not to get the writer’s political and social views thrown at me.
