What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC drama, The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.

Will NBC cancel or renew The Village for season two? I think it could go either way. Right out of the gate, the ratings weren’t very good, especially for a series that followed NBC’s This Is Us drama. However, the ratings remained pretty consistent and saw some improvement when it was moved to an earlier timeslot. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I too, am SO, SO disappointed The Village was cancelled! This show touches on what our Veterans go thru when they return home from war! Also touch on cancer, teenage pregnancy, getting old, etc! The writing is great! The actors portray their parts seriously! Please, PLEASE give the Village a Second chance!!! Besides, We (the people who watched this show faithfully!) want to know how Patricia’s operation made out? Does she still have cancer? I love each one of these characters of this show!! I am so very disappointed that The Village has been cancelled. My husband and I both think this is one of the best shows on TV. It has great characters and so many great story lines. I am very surprised that NBC chose to cancel it. Please bring it back … Somebody!!!!

I am very upset and disappointed that The Village has been cancelled, this was a great drama that really touched my heart. This has broke my heart. I can only hope that you would reconsider your decision….very sad viewer.
I am extremely disappointed that this wonderful show is being cancelled. Best new show if the season. Hoping another station will be smart enough to pick it up – we need to bring Patricia out of cancer surgery!!

NOOOOOOO!!!!!! Please don’t cancel The Village! It is such a great feel good show. I am so upset about this, my daughter and I LOVE this show. You can’t leave us hanging about whether or not Patricia will be ok. I was so looking forward to seeing what happens with everyone. The cast is so awesome, they brought tears to my eyes with almost every episode. I am truly disappointed.
I just started watching the Village upon the recommendation of some friends and absolutely love it. The characters are so interesting and diverse. It is presently one of the best shows on TV. Please NBC, do not cancel this one!!!!!!
