What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC drama, The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.

Will NBC cancel or renew The Village for season two? I think it could go either way. Right out of the gate, the ratings weren’t very good, especially for a series that followed NBC’s This Is Us drama. However, the ratings remained pretty consistent and saw some improvement when it was moved to an earlier timeslot. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I want a second, third, and more seasons! I agree with all of the other comments that this series is one of the best that I’ve seen in a long time!! Bring it back!
Why would NBC cancel one of the best programs in the lineup? After the Season-One finale I could hardly wait for Season Two. Please don’t let this cancellation be “the last word” in NBC’s programming decisions. When a network makes a huge mistake such as this, does it ever happen that another network snaps up the program and runs with it? There’s got to be somebody somewhere who can turn this horrible mistake around and save this powerful and touching drama.
I am so disappointed after learning The Village will not be renewed. I thought the acting and storyline was better than This is Us! Loved the actors and am hoping they will reconsider another Season.

The Village was a sip burn show. I’m hoping for a Season 2. The characters are like friends and I’ll certainly miss them all lots.

I’m into the 6th episode of The Village which I have recorded the season due to a crazy schedule. I absolutely LOVE this show. The diverse cast and relevant HEARTFELT story line can touch home for many. This is a show you can watch as a family. I’m saddened to hear it was canceled. PLEASE rethink this NBC, you’re truly missing out.
