What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC drama, The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.

Will NBC cancel or renew The Village for season two? I think it could go either way. Right out of the gate, the ratings weren’t very good, especially for a series that followed NBC’s This Is Us drama. However, the ratings remained pretty consistent and saw some improvement when it was moved to an earlier timeslot. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. LOVED The Village! The cast/characters were great and the music was also great! I am sooooo disappointed that there will not be another season. At least a few more episodes to make some closure?!
I am very disappointed to find out that the village will not be renewed. I really enjoyed the show and the characters as we didn’t get to find out completely what happened to them

My wife and I loved the tv series “ the village “ and were really hoping for season 2.
So sorry to hear the village was cancelled. One of the best shows on tv of which there aren’t many anymore.

I was sorry to hear the village was cancelled. I loved it and thought it was better than This Is Us which has become very boring with all the repartition.
I am completely uttered by the cancellation of this show. We so enjoyed it. All the junk that is on TV today. Reality shows , housewives , Naked and Afraid and all the other moronic stuff. It just goes to show you who is watching television.

With all the crap that’s on TV in the way of all these reality shows… A heartwarming, multi generational, multi cultural, show is canceled! And the 65-year-old woman, RN, grandmother of 5… I just love that show. The relationships that were forged between young woman and her mother, her absentee dad, and the inhabitants of The Village, was just wonderful!
What can be done to have the show brought back? Nashville was brought back, as were other shows brought back… What can be done?
I like this show. It was one of my favorite ones but as always the ones you like are the ones that get canceled
