What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, The Voice singing competition typically airs twice a week — on Monday and Tuesday nights. In season 12, Gwen Stefani returns to coach with Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Alicia Keys. Team advisors include John Legend (Team Adam), Luke Bryan (Team Blake); Celine Dion (Team Gwen); and DJ Khaled (Team Alicia). Carson Daly hosts.
Season 12 Ratings
On Mondays, the 12th season of The Voice averaged a 2.23 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.35 million viewers. Compared to the Spring 2016 edition’s Monday numbers, that’s down by 11% and down by 5%, respectively. On Tuesdays, season 12 averaged a 2.05 in the demo and an average total audience of 10.00 million. Compared to last spring’s Tuesday numbers, it is down by 8% and down by 4%, respectively. On October 18, 2016, The Voice was renewed through its 13th season.
It will debut on September 25, 2017 at 8pm.

Telly’s Take
The Voice remains the peacock network’s most popular TV series but the numbers tend to diminish from season to season. Still, it remains one of NBC’s most important series, since it helps them launch new drama series (with mixed results). It’s no surprise that it’s been renewed but clearly, this series won’t go on forever. FOX’s American Idol was once an unstoppable ratings juggernaut but it eventually fizzled out and was cancelled after 15 seasons. Can The Voice outlast it? We shall see.

The show desperately needs to 1). Shorten the season. 2). Get rid of Adam & Blake – the show remains stale and the two are no longer funny, nor interesting.

what did they do with Miley and why is Gwen back? i dont watch either way so keep or cancel,it doesnt mess up my tv programming. i figured Blake talked gwen into coming back but i dunno.
RENEW…one of the best shows on television right now. The humor between the judges and the talent of the people trying out on the show are so entertaining!!
