Fans will likely have mixed feelings about tonight’s series finale of White Collar. Series star Matt Bomer has some mixed feelings of his own but feels satisfied. He told TVLine, “I think the writers did an incredible job creating somewhat of a cliffhanger, but also giving the audience a little bit to chew on.”
The actor who played con-man Neal Caffrey continued and said, “I was really satisfied in some ways and, in some ways, I would have been interested to explore other avenues as well. There were still directions to go, but I think the way they wrapped it up was really well done in the sense that they didn’t try to tie everything up into a nice bow.”
Bomer said, “They really left some things open-ended and left a lot up to the viewer’s imagination, which I always think is more potent than anything you could put down on a piece of paper.”
What do you think? If you’ve seen the White Collar finale, were you satisfied with the way the story ended? Do you wish the writers gave the show more closure?
Would have liked if mozzie was shown on the street of Paris reuniting with his friend!
I hope white collar does a tv movie
I was satisfied with the ending but it left it open to bring the series back. I hope they bring it back with the same stars.
Well done ….. but I had planned on spending many more nights with
Matt Boomer.. Sigh
All along great writing, great acting.. don’t see that so much anymore.
Thanks and kudos to all involved.
Siix Feet Under final show spedtacular years ago… ALL cast followed and died off in the finale.
Maybe when little Neil grows up we can expect something … one can hope
The finale was heart aching in a sense that I did not see that coming. Every show I’ve been watching lately makes the ending predictable. White collar did a phenomenal job on the ending. I personally cried. I couldn’t believe Neil died. I wish the show didn’t end. Or I wish the show can pick up again in a couple years and make a part 2. I damn loved the show.
I loved the finale. It had me in tears when Neal “died” and so happy when he finally had got his freedom. I will miss White Collar…and seeing those gorgeous blue eyes of Matt Bomer!
I did not see Neal faking his own death coming! I cried my eyes out, it could have ended that way! But glad to see he was alive and well. Baby Neal was a nice touch.. I liked the ending, it felt right. And nice to see Keller go.
It was a brilliant ending. I didn’t realize until I read an interview this morning that the Queen of hearts waiting for Peter in Neal’s hiding place meant that Mozzie had figured it all out and was joining Neal in Paris. Just steps away from Peter figuring it out. I loved Baby Neal. I hope they make a White Collar movie.
am disappointed it’s going off the air—seems to me the writers were running out or storyline ideas—everyone I know likes the show—-convoluted storyline[s] must be too difficult to keep producing. I’d love to hear why it was decided to cancel the show—like lose of fan base like covert affairs??
Very well done! Left an opening for many different scenarios!
I have always liked the series and hope that it can be revitalized with the new possibilities
Great show!
Merry Christmas
I feel sad in a way, because i liked the series very much. The ending was satisfying to me.
I hope they do a reunion movie for TV
I loved it but I hope it’s not really over and they come back with more shows there is so much they can still explore.
what a great ending. well done USA!.
Have been a fan of “White Collar” from its beginning. An interesting mix of characters and plots. The interplay was always good and sharp.
You knew “Neal” was a good person, no matter what. And, with very few exceptions, the good person always wins. The good person doesn’t get hurt. “Neal’s” actions were true to the long-running theme. He wanted out on his terms. So as “Mozzi” (sp) said he played the ultimate con and set himself free, and let his friend “Peter” down easy. And you know “Peter” won’t come looking for him.
The series finale to White Collar was entertaining and Neal’s death was a predictable con but enjoyable anyway.
