Is season five of Arrested Development ever going to happen? E! News recently spoke with Will Arnett about the future of the Netflix comedy.

Season four debuted in 2013.

Arnett, who plays Gob, told E! News that scheduling is what’s keeping season five from happening:

It’s a rough one for me to do because it is something that we are talking about doing and we don’t know if it is going to come together. But it is something everyone wants to do in theory, but you know how theories are. They just disproved the theory of relativity after all these years!”

Earlier, cast member Tony Hale echoed the same sentiment, saying scheduling all of the series’ stars has become a challenging task. For season four, the actors were filmed separately and pasted into scenes together digitally.

There may be some hope thought. Series creator Mitch Hurwitz has said he is writing material for another season, which Netflix has already greenlit.
