Did Sydney make the right choice in the first season of the Bluff City Law TV show on NBC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Bluff City Law is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the season one episodes of Bluff City Law here. *Status update below.
An NBC legal drama, the Bluff City Law TV series stars Jimmy Smits, Caitlin McGee, Scott Shepherd, Barry Sloane, Michael Luwoye, MaameYaa Boafo, Stony Blyden, and Jayne Atkinson. Coming from a famous Memphis family that’s known for taking on injustice, a brilliant lawyer named Sydney Strait (McGee) used to work at her father Elijah’s celebrated law firm until their tumultuous relationship got in the way. After barely speaking to Elijah (Smits) for years, Sydney is suddenly thrust back into the family fold when her philanthropist mother passes away unexpectedly. In the wake of the loss of his wife and in hopes of reconnecting with the daughter he loves, Elijah asks Sydney to rejoin his Civil Rights firm and take on a chemical company whose product may cause cancer. Despite her lingering resentment and distrust, she agrees because she knows that working alongside her father is her best hope at changing the world — as long as they can find a way to get along. No sooner has Sydney returned than she stumbles on a secret that Elijah has been keeping from her that may change everything.

Bluff City Law is a must see show! NBC would be CRAZY to not renew for another season..or two or three! So many other shows are predictable, boring, too stupid to watch! This show is for anyone who has an IQ above average! Believe it, there are some of us still around!!

I wasn’t really looking for a new show, but my sister couldn’t stop talking about Bluff City Law and once I started, I couldn’t stop watching! The acting is great, and the casting was very well done. I truly want a season 2! I can’t wait to find out who Sydney chooses and to see the story along the way. I love the primary cases each week; they cover contemporary issues and truly inspire audiences that one person can do something about them. Jake’s love for George Bell demonstrates the platonic love we should have for fellow man. Season 1… Read more »
Bluff City Law is so refreshing and thought provoking. The scripts, actors, are excellent. The actors portray their characters so well, you feel that the characters are friends or family. Episode 10 was exceptional. The pain Jake felt, the emotions George related about his struggle, the love and appreciation related to Elijah in the video Emerson made for him, expressed the soul of this program. It is the best series I’ve seen in a very long time.
Bluff City Law deals with contemporary issues and always teaches me something new about them. The relationships among the members of the law firm are supportive and positive. Season One ended with so many promises for developing these relationships further and for giving the audience more backstory about their lives before the series began. Please bring back this show. #BluffCityLawSeasonTwo
Love this show!! Acting and plots are excellent! Every episode was great!! Please remew.
I’ve watched all ten episodes several times. This show has substance and should be renewed. Excellent acting, writing, believable plots.
Love love love this show. I’m so glad I decided to record and watch it. I’m very sad that it hasn’t been renewed for a second season yet. We need many many more seasons please NBC. Everyone let NBC know we need season 2.
