Turns out, Disney Channel is heading back to camp after all. Today, the network announced they’ve renewed Bunk’d for a fourth season.
The live-action comedy follows three siblings (Peyton List, Karan Brar, and Skai Jackson) as they leave their New York City penthouse for a summer camp in Maine.
Earlier, we reported that Disney Channel would not be bringing Bunk’d back for another season. However, it turns out just Skai Jackson and other cast members are leaving the series and season four will feature a group of new campers.

The wildly successful sitcom “BUNK’D” has been ordered for a fourth season by Disney Channel. Production will begin in March 2019 on the series starring fan-favorite Miranda May as Lou Hockhauser, the cheerful Woodchuck counselor turned owner of Maine’s rustic Camp Kikiwaka summer camp. The series also stars Mallory James Mahoney (Disney Channel’s “Adventures in Babysitting”), Raphael Alejandro (ABC’s “Once Upon a Time”) and Will Buie Jr. (“Gifted) as the campers who return with Lou to create a summer of fun and friendship for a new group of young campers. Additional casting is to be announced.
The fourth season will be executive produced by Emmy(R)-nominated producer Phil Baker (“Andi Mack,” “Good Luck Charlie”) and Erin Dunlap (“Andi Mack,” “Jessie”).
Kory Lunsford, vice president, Current Series, Disney Channels Worldwide, said, “On the heels of a successful third season, we’ve decided that there is more fun to be had at Camp Kikiwaka! We are excited to gear up for another season with the campers from Woodchuck, Grizzly and Weasel cabins as they embark on hilarious new adventures, reunite with beloved characters and meet new ones.”
Created by Pamela Eells O’Connell, “BUNK’D” began as a spin-off to Disney Channel’s hit series “Jessie” (2011-15). Actors Peyton List, Skai Jackson and Karan Brar starred in both series and after 98 episodes of “Jessie” and 58 episodes of “BUNK’D,” they concluded their run on the series. List and Brar also made their directorial debuts with episodes of “BUNK’D.”
“BUNK’D” is from It’s a Laugh Productions, Inc. It carries a TV-G parental guideline.”
What do you think? Do your kids watch Bunk’d? Are you glad it’s coming back?
I’m not gonna lie, it’s good that the show isn’t going to be cancelled. But I’m a little sad that almost all the original cast members are gone. I mean it started off as a spin off series to Jessie and as of season 4, it feels like a separate show. Bottomline, I’m happy that the show is still around but I’m sad to hear that most of the original won’t be on it anymore and it be like how it was when it started.
I am so glad the network decided to renew the show. It is a very funny show that is good for kids and adults alike.
I love bunked and so does my 10 ur old daughter . we do not care for the new cast. Bring back the Hazel, Gladys, Sander, Tiffany and Jorge

Is Tiffany, Jorge and Griff coming back Me and my daughter love the old characters.
November 15 in my birthday this is a gift
The show was fantastic until they got rid of Xander and Jorge. Those two were honestly the funniest characters on the show, at least to me.
This is going to be painful to watch. The actors are too old for the parts in it just seemed too unrealistic. Kids shows have a life expectancy because the actors age and who they’re supposed to appeal to an audience. The show Just average from the beginning, but all my god this is going to be even worse now. I hope the network to re-thanks it made a mistake by canceling them not canceling. No the third season wasn’t six of us this is the first three seasons were not successes, it was just an average show that he… Read more »
I’m sorry paid critic…but you are terribly wrong, the actors are not too old to play their roles, every camp I ever enrolled in had adult counselors and teen counselors as well, this is a wonderful show and I am happy to see it continue….as I and many others hope it will continue for many more years.
If you think the actors are not too old to play or were. Then you’re sadly mistaken. The way the acted during the production isn’t the way even adults be acting. Acting more like immature people if you think this is good for younger people to look at then you not thinking.
Well this came as a huge surprise. First I read that Marvel and ABC renews Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a 7th season, long before the sixth is to come, now Disney Channel is giving Bunk’d a fourth season after cancelling the show in April? Wow, quite the surprise of renewals for many fans! I am curious though, if the lead actors, Peyton List, Karan Brar and Skai Jackson are confirmed to return, as all three have announced their conclusion at Disney Channel this past summer. It doesn’t specifically say they are going to be back, as it only mentions their… Read more »
Awesome! Will Peyton List and Karan Brar return or just is it just Miranda May?
All right! Bunk’d is coming back! At last! Happy days are here again! I didn’t give up on my favorite show.
I feel like they’re “jumping the shark” with this.
