Is The Catch coming to an end for good? Recently, ABC released new details for the TV show’s upcoming season two (and possibly series) finale.
From executive producer Shonda Rhimes, the drama follows a game of cat and mouse between private investigator, Alice Vaughan (Mireille Enos), and the man she loves, the elusive con artist, Benjamin Jones (Peter Krause). The cast also includes Jay Hayden, Jacky Ido, Rose Rollins, Sonya Walger, Elvy Yost, and John Simm.
It’s still unclear if ABC will renew The Catch for a third season, but the odds are slim. The show’s second season is really struggling in the ratings. So far, the season is averaging a .70 in the 18-49 demo and 3.419 million viewers, making it one of the network’s lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.
When we asked viewers if the show should be cancelled, 75% said “No! It’s a great show.” Guess we’ll have to wait and see what ABC thinks.
The season two finale of The Catch premieres on May 11th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

This is the best show on right now! Please don’t cancel it! It’s one of the very few worth watching live. The cast and characters are amazing. Just needs to be promoted more for the ratings to catch fire! Can’t wait to see more of Rhys and Agent Diaz, Ben and Alice with Ethan in the mix, Danny and Margot, and the new family dynamic with Tessa and the steps!
I adore this show! It’s one of the best on “regular TV” right now. I love the characters, the plot twists, and yes even the clothes. This is a fantastic show, Shonda needs to promote the good thing she has going better than she has. Don’t let this show die!!
It’s a really good show. I think they promoted it wrong. All of the promotion was about the romance between the two (40-ish) leads. Bad move. Should have been promoted as a spy/thief/PI dramedy. It comedy aspects are the best.

We watch this one, too. But a little less sex in the bedrooms would certainly not hurt the show but would be very much appreciated. It adds nothing to the story.
