CBS knows drama. The network has just picked up two new drama pilots, a medical series and a thriller, from the Dan Jinks Company, Deadline reports.
The first, an untitled medical drama, comes from Empire writer David Rambo. The series will follow “an enterprising doctor who breaks the boundaries of medicine and crime-solving by creating a team of physicians, detectives and a forensic psychologist at Brooklyn’s busiest hospital who work together to heal victims and obtain justice.” Dr. Astrid Heger, child sexual abuse expert and founder of USC’s Violence Intervention Program, is said to be the inspiration behind the series.
The second, a thriller titled Stay from The Good Wife co-executive producer Luke Schelhaas, is based on the book of the same name by Victor Gischler. The series will center on a stay-at-home dad/former U.S. Special Forces agent who must return to crime fighting when his own family gets caught in the crosshairs.
No word yet on any premiere dates.
What do you think? Do these series pique your interest?
AWESOME!!! I Love New Medical shows I am a junkie when it comes to medical shows ER, Greys, Scrubs, House etc….. I am excited and cannot wait for the premire date
This is so stupid. Why does CBS do this??? They had an awesome thriller with Stalker. But they cancel it after ONE season. So I’m DEFINITELY not watching either one of these new shows. Because if the “SO-CALLED” youth group don’t care for them; they won’t last the entire season or they will be cancelled after the 1st season. CBS only cares about the young people. BOTTOM LINE!!!!
