Liam James is Ben/Adam Warren. Andrew McCarthy is Hank Asher. Floriana Lima is Bridey Cruz. Young Willa and Danny are played by Madeleine Arthur and Rarmian Newton.

Claire finally realizes what Adam and Ben endured when she visits the hell hole-like tomb where they were kept, exploding with grief, anger and frustration. Meanwhile Jane looks to make a getaway as Nina closes in on Doug’s location, and Agent Clements’ time is running out. Hank comes face to face with his inner demons, and one phone call shatters Ben’s world, forcing him to tackle an uncertain destiny.

The Family was canceled due to low ratings. As of the May 8th episode, the series averaged 0.83 in the 18-49 year-old viewer demographic and drew an average total audience of 3.276 million viewers. We have been tracking 25 scripted ABC series during the 2015-16 television season. Those numbers leave The Family ranked 21st out of 25, when sorted by both the demo and total average audience.

ABC cancelled The Family on Thursday, May 12, 2016, so this first season finale was not written as an intentional TV series finale. If the audience will get sufficient closure or satisfaction from “What Took So Long,” remains to be seen.

Would have liked to see the show continue. But if was to be canceled , would have liked to see an adequate resolution to the “ending”.

I was very upset that this show was canceled. I personally feel that the network did not push the show hard enough. I had no idea what it was about until I watched it to find out and I loved it. Some good trailers would have been nice. It was suspenseful and the name just did not imply that. I want an ending.the real adam calls, the fake adam hangs up the phone..and that’s it??? This is Whack, they left us hanging, it should be allowed to come back, instead of that show Wayward Pines, I know its two different stations but cancel that one not this one.
The Family needs to be return. One of the best shows on and the network left us with a cliffhanger. Why do the best shows get cancel?
I never remember most shows until the next season is almost over but I’ve been waiting on this one. I just Google it to see when season 2 is airing and found this. Please bring it back. It had such clever plot twists and always had me in suspense waiting for the next episode as it did while waiting for the next season. My 13 year old son is even hooked and has been waiting with me for the next season. That NEVER happens… lol.
I’ve been wondering why I haven’t heard anything. I loved this show it was so good always left me wondering what was gonna happen next. Please bring it back

Sooooo disappointed that there will not be a second season to this show. One of my favorite shows of all time….was very eagered for a second season. Bring it back!
