Is FOX ordering an American Idol replacement? Deadline reports the network is considering a new TV show based on the Israeli series The Final Four.

As previously reported, ABC is rebooting American Idol for a new season next year. The singing competition show ran for 15 seasons on FOX before “ending” in 2016.

Now, it looks like FOX might be going up against their former hit series with a new singing show, The Final Four. According to Deadline, the network is developing the program, which features four judge-picked contestants battling it out each week to see who’s the best performer.

The Final Four (working title) is licensed by Armoza Formats.
